[...] teams are now setting aside the search list and deciding where to go more on the basis of new information from Iraqis, three defense officials said yesterday.

Well, so much for all of that -- how did Powell describe it before the U.N.? -- intelligence from highly placed sources that could not be revealed lest they be compromised. More lies, doubly compounded. Seems like a lifetime ago that a worthwhile former general was forced into such public mendacity, doesn't it?

Between this and the FBI and CIA dropping stitches in their anti-terrorist blanket-weaving before Nine Eleven, just what the hell are we getting for the money poured into them? And without oversight as to details on Capitol Hill?

Let's look at just one weapon.

In 1998, the Hussein regime had enough botulinum toxin to kill every human now living. They not only didn't ever provide proof that they destroyed it, they never really made any specific claim to have done so. Just Baghdad Bob telling us that Iraq no longer had WMDs. So...

If Bush and Powell are liars, what did the Iraqis do with the botulinum?

And do you really believe the Hussein regime's protestations of innocence above the word of Secretary Powell?
