Wolf just said when he was over there very recently and Aziz's villa---a lovely villa, he added!---Wolf detected a lot of sympathy for Aziz. He asks Nic how much sympathy will he have in and out of Iraq.
Nic Robertson says basically not much, except in some circles (Hello--*some* in the U.S. media).

SR US Official: Tariq Azziz TURNED HIMSELF IN!This is my theory on these people turning themselves in...they know that the Iraqi people are going to have thier way with them if they stay in Iraq and it won't be pretty. People do not forget thier loved ones being tortured and those that stood by and let it happen. Spending his life in a federal pen probably looks like a better option.

The
NY Times finally picked up the George Galloway scandal today.
They have this hilarious little tidbit I hadn't heard before:
When Prime Minister Tony Blair was pondering a question in Parliament this month about who in Iraq would be qualified to deliver the unconditional surrender that Britain was seeking, an anonymous legislator brought the House down by shouting, "George Galloway!"
LOL!

CNN just showed President Bush arriving back at the WH and several reporters were calling out "what about Tariq Aziz" several times. Finally they all chorused it together and our happy president, grinning hugely gave a thumbs up then went inside.

Someone needs to tell CNN this guy was a FREAKING BUTCHER!!!!!!!!!And Peter Jennings.
I had ABC on when he broke in with a Special Report on this. Evidently before the cables. He did fine with the straight information, but at the end made a comment along the lines of "it isn't clear why the U.S. wants him".

He asks Nic how much sympathy will he have in and out of Iraq.I know I shouldn't be but I am shocked that Blitzer could say such an idiotic thing. We read today how Iraqi's tongues were held by pliers, sliced off with box cutters and in one case given to Uday as a present and Wolf thinks any member of such a regime would have sympathy?

He asks Nic how much sympathy will he have in and out of Iraq. Wolf is a whore, easily bought off by trips to swanky villas. Someone who lives in such a lovely villa cannot be so bad.

Had you heard that story about what that MP yelled to Tony Blair? I hadn't. We need to find that guy and make him and honorary Sit Room/Freeper. Pretty funny.
