Good morning Dolly - you're welcome for the Fox help... I wish I had cable TV so I could watch much of what they talk about.
Awww... are you hearing that now?? They hooked up a soldier with his wife on the phone from her hospital room, where she just had a new baby!
Now I'm hitting the hay. Goodnight all.

Random thoughts, cont'd:
Has it occurred to anyone else that Iraq has turned into South Central Los Angeles?
There are many residents who, despite the language differences, appreciate the soldiers and the security they provide. Many of them stay inside their houses, still afraid to come out for more than necessary trips to the market.
There are the snipers and thugs. They will never believe in the goodness of the soldiers, simply wallow in their hate for America. They're the source of all the trouble.
Then there are the soldiers. They put themselves in danger every day to protect innocent people with whom they cannot even have a conversation. Woe is them if they misjudge the degree of force necessary to quell a threatening situation. Their behavior is constantly scrutinized by the media and the left, waiting to pounce on any little incident which reflects poorly on the troops.
Just like the LAPD.

Your "poster boy"s Justice Dept. is making me very happy this morning!
Law Firm's Donations to Edwards Probed
Washington PostThe Justice Department's Criminal Division has initiated an investigation into contributions made by employees of a prominent Little Rock law firm to the presidential campaign of Sen. John Edwards (D-N.C.).
What?! Little Rock AGAIN?! Note they didn't hand it over to the local U.S. Attorney in Arkansas, either. They're handling it out of D.C. Go get 'im, Ashcroft!

My take on Iraq is the analogy of a 4 th grade school class.
Lots of good kids, willing to play the game & trust the authority figures that exist
lots of kids that will raise bedlam behind teacher's back
Lots of kids who will raise hell in presense on anyone. Authority figures not part of vocabulary

Al Qaeda link suspects held
JAKARTA: Indonesian police said yesterday they arrested 18 members of the Al Qaeda-linked Jemaah Islamiyah terror group, including its acting chief, and had found a cache of explosive materials similar to those used in last year's Bali bombings.
The biggest catch was Abu Rusdan, who police said has led the group since last year's arrest of its spiritual head Abu Bakar Bashir - who went on trial yesterday for treason and church bombing charges.
Police said Bashir had handpicked Rusdan - who was arrested in Kudus, east Java, early yesterday - for the leadership position.
Three of the other detainees are suspects wanted in the deadly October 12 Bali attack, which killed 202 people, mostly foreign tourists.
Police Chief General Da'i Bachtiar said police also netted weapons and documents during raids in various cities.
They feared the group had been planning terrorist attacks in the run-up to next year's general election.
"We do not know their target yet, but preliminary investigation and evidence indicates that they have planned more bombs attacks," Bachtiar said.

Good morning, Michael. How's the search coming along?
I really miss starting my day with Gen. Brooks.
To: DollyCali
Is that the question he answered when he responded:
"That's probably the most ridiculous thing I heard in my whole life." I couldn't hear the question. I'm watching Fox, hope we find out what was the question.

MSNBC White House reporter just used the hated "trying" word again.
"The president is TRYING to use his post-war popularity...TRYING to sell the people on his HUGE tax-cut plan. There's really no public outcry for a tax cut at this time."
Well, Mister, there wasn't a "public outcry" for the overthrow of Saddam, either. It's called LEADERSHIP!
Gad, I hate these reporters.
