Rep. Martin Frost's (D) aide identified in theft video from Texas redistricting hearing
Republican Party of Texas Press Release | 4/23

Posted on 04/23/2003 8:10:40 PM PDT by GOPcapitalist

AUSTIN – Susan Weddington, Republican Party of Texas Chairman, today called on Congressman Martin Frost, D-Arlington, to cooperate with the Department of Public Safety’s investigation into the theft of a state employee’s property.

On April 10, a folio containing congressional redistricting maps was stolen from a committee room in the state capitol. The folio and its contents belong to a GOP legislative aide. DPS has video footage of three men, including one identified as Frost senior aide Gerry Hebert, apparently leaving the committee room with the loot. Shortly after the theft, Rep. Frost produced one of the purloined maps to reporters in Washington, D.C.

“Martin Frost has an obligation to cooperate fully with the Department of Public Safety’s investigation and should immediately explain how he obtained this stolen map,” said Weddington. “If Rep. Frost knew that he was in possession of stolen goods, he has violated Texans’ trust and his most sacred responsibilities as a public servant.”

DPS is investigating the theft as a class B misdemeanor, punishable by up to a $2,000 fine and 180 days in jail. If the pilfered goods were transported from Texas to Washington, D.C., the crime may be a federal offense.

Here are my thoughts on the subject.

If I were living in Congressman Frost's district, I would be very embarrassed to have him as my representative right now and if I were a loyal fan of the establishment media, I would be hiding my head in shame.

A tremendous disservice is being done to this nation by allowing the Democrats to get away with criminal actions while going after Republicans for things less pressing. The Democrats and their willing accomplices in the establishment media continue to show themselves to be criminal enterprises seeking to missuse and abuse their power and influence in order to serve their own selfish needs.

Clearly the time is now to put the Democrats out of business and also to drive these news media organizations continuing to choose to serve as their willing accomplices into bankruptcy. These reporters need to be driven to homelessness and starvation for the harm that they are continuing to do to this country by covering up the criminal actions of their friends in the Democrat party.
Regards.

"There was a president once who had to resign over something like this, so I REALLY hope one of the Democrats in Texas says "everyone does it"...

A reporter needs to mis-print him as a republican a coupla times. Then they'll get him, not so much for his crime but because they'll think he's one of the emeny.

As I have said, some of our TX Republicans are "Rodney King Republicans." They really believe that they can "do business," in Margaret Thatcher language, with Martin Frost and the other Democrat liberals in this state. Frost is a really tough pol who brings fear to the hearts of many a TX Republican. The Republicans fear a liberal backlash against them if they tried to gerrymander Frost out of his seat. Also, gerrymandering sometimes backfires, as the majority party spreads its seats too thinly to hold them in the next election.

How is this playing in the news in Texas?

You would never know it has happened! Texas State network news might as well be Texas CNN.

Add to the John Edwards has just become a new case in the Justice Department for alleged illegal campaign contributions.

and

Chuckie Schumer may very well be joined in the game for accepting "continbutions" from a Tennessee concern (interesting, as he is from NEW YORK!!) that pushed legislation he signed off on.

and

Joe Lieberman also signed off on the legislation.

You are making one fatal assumption. Democrats have no shame.

"I don't think you needed to include the (D) for us to know it was a Democrat. If it is crooked, you can be sure the Democrats are in it right up to the very top of their pointed heads. "

Always include the (D), Democrats have proven themselves to be quite capable liars and it is possible for a democrat to run as a Republican and espouse a very conservative platform while not believing a word of it.

"The democrats are not so much a political entity, as they an organized criminal menace to our nation.

One does not negotiate or reason with such evil. One must only destroy such a clear and present danger

This has got to be the greatest quote of the day. There is more truth in these two short sentences than written in the library of congress.

We need to stop honoring this party and these people with the legitimacy of being a political party and call them what they are, organized criminals.
