Brad paisley has a new song out that bashes the hoity toity Celebrities. It's halarious. Has anyone heard it yet?

TOPICS: Culture/Society
KEYWORDS: artists; celebrities; hollywood
(Here are the words)

Someday I'm gonna be famous,

Do I have talent, well, no.

These days you don't really need it,

Thanks to reality shows

Can't Wait to date a supermodel,

Can't Wait to sue my dad.

Can't wait to wreck a Ferrari

On my way to rehab....

Chorus-

Cause when you're a Celebrity

It's adios reality

You' can act just like a fool

People think you're cool

Just cause your on TV.

I can throw major fits

When my latte isn't just how I like it

They say I've gone insane,

I'll blame it on the fame,

And the pressures that it goes with

Being a Celebrity

uh huh

I get to cry to Barbara Walters,

When Things don't go my way.

I'll get community service

No matter which law I break

I'll make the supermarket tabloids,

They'll write some awful stuff

But the more they run my name down,

THE MORE MY PRICE GOES UP!

Chorus-

Cause when you're a Celebrity,

It's adios reality.

No matter what you do,

People think you're cool,

Just cause you're on TV.

I can fall in and out of love,

Have marriages that barely last a month.

When they go down the drain

I'll blame it on fame

And say it's just so tough.

Being a Celebrity

So let's hitch up the wagons and head out west

To the land of fun in the sun

We'll be real world bachelors

Jackass Millionaires

Hey, Hey, Hollywood

Here we come!

Chorus-

Yeah, When you're a Celebrity

It's adios reality

No matter what you do,

People think you're cool,

Just cause you're on t.v.

...Being a Celebrity

...Yeah Celebrity!

To me country western music has more to say thats relevant than any other type of music today.

I agree that a lot of country music today could be compared to pop music of the early seventies, but most of it is as classic and traditional as it always has been. And Brad Paisley is a little of both, depending of the song he's a little classic country and a little modern rebirth of early 70's pop.

Unlike rock&roll and rap, where you can't even hear the words, let alone try to understand them.(I like R&R too, hate rap)

Great lyrics!!! Like the 'reality show' bit. That really PO's the celebs that they are so awful, everyday folks can command the spotlight, for pennies on the dollars and blow their ratings into the gutter.

I'm waiting for the next shoe to drop. Some type of 'reality' format to hit the big screen.

Microsoft FrontPage is a web page (HTML)editor.
Most other HTML editors will allow you to do the same thing.
There are several free ones available from multiple sources like download.com.
Good luck!

Thanks for the links and thanks for the post!

Love all kinds of music, but have gravitated towards country music lately due to some really clever song writers. And yes, it is nice to be able to understand the words they are singing; the ones I listen to are not as depressing as alot of R & R out today.

There's a song by a pop-punk band from Maryland called Good Charlotte called "Lifestyles of the Rich and the Famous," and it bashes OJ and Marion Barry, amongst others.
