Initials "M. S. S." (POSSIBLY Michael Scott Speicher) Found on Baghdad Prison Wall

Was just on CBS radio, David Martin exclusive, that the initials were found on the wall of a prison. No other evidence of Speicher at this time.
TOPICS: Foreign Affairs; News/Current Events
KEYWORDS: iraq; scottspeicher; speicher
Obviously not the most conclusive of proof, but from what I've seen most of the carving on the walls is Arabic.
I don't know if any other US POWs from GW I or II had the same initials.

None of the POW's from Iraqi Freedom have the same initials. Don't know about MIA's (of which there are three) though.

AP Story I was wondering that too. They should be able to tell whether the etchings were recent or not.

WOW! I don't want to get my hopes up too high but I will say extra prayers for Scott Speicher.....He and I share the same last name.....he and my brother were stationed out of the same base in Florida during the first Gulf War....Scott Speicher's ship name, "Saratoga" is the name of the street I live on now. do do do do....do do do do....welcome to the twilight zone!

Scott is from my town. I am constantly reminded of him because one of my neighbors has a poster in her yard of him. I am reminded to pray for him all the time.
I thought it was indeed newsworthy that NBC Nightly News covered the story.

Only one U.S. service member remains listed as missing from the second Iraq war - Army Sgt. Edward J. Anguiano, 24, of Brownsville, Texas, who disappeared after his convoy was ambushed March 23.We have two missing in action.
Praying for both and their families.

I hope that MSS is still alive and can one day return to his family. This can only give his family a ray of hope after so many years.
