I can't believe I used the word 'hole' -- talk about a red flag . . .

Okay, that's it. You should step down from posting on FR you homophobe. And what is this about a red flag. You are clearly implying that Chinese people are gay? I see your descreet use of the word flag. Don't think you can fool us!

His press person should have known this and advised him not to do the interview with that reporter. As I said yesterday, this was a set-up. AP should feel its feet being held to the fire for a while, and should have to explain this.

Nonetheless, gay activists were quick to express outrage.

Now there's a shocker!

I agree with you. Santorum said nothing wrong. As I said in another thread, that these "human rights" groups are complete hypocrits in being "outraged" at Santorum comparing them to incest practitioners! They say that they are on a morally higher ground....that sodomy is much more moral than incest. Incest is not pedophilia! Some countries have a tradition of marrying incestuously. These are consenting adult relationships....the same argument as the homosexual argument!

Santorum put homosexual rights in the correct context, and it drives them crazy! They want special consideration...they want to discriminate against others sexual practices....but not their own!

The fact is, if we do put public sanction to these practices, as it were, then all must be sanctioned! There can be no descrimination!

Of course there will always be deviant behaviour. And for the most part, I don't want to know about it. But, do not ask me to endorse this behavior and call it normal...for it is not!

Fox News' Brian Wilson contributed to this report.

From the article - who is Brian Wilson married to, who does his spouse work for, where has he worked in the past. Are these points of interest or relavant to the story. I don't think so. How does Brian Wilson know so much about the life and relationships of the AP reporter? Is he a spy?

C'mon now - the second and third hand relationships of a reporter are not germane to the discussion. None of this changes what Se. Santorum said - he stands by his comments.

This type of looking for some underlying conspiracy is what makes FOX look like Tabloid TV - they should give it up & report the facts.

Good job by Santorum. First I heard of this was on Imus this morning. That old bleating fart had some liberal newsie on mocking Santorum. Of course, the "I-man" will be slobbering out of the other side of his mouth next time Santorum is on the program.

Bottom line: typical politics of personal destruction. It won't work. Santorum is good.

These comments take us backwards in America

It's interesting that "backwards" is supposed to be a bad thing, yet the shorthand American term for a community of prosperity, peace, safety, decency and morality is "the 50's." I was born in '67, and it took me a while to realize--against the media hype I had heard growing up--that the 1960s were a cultural disaster for America. An absolute disaster.

She seems to have a thing against Republicans, and is the same person who wrote this story last week:

"Congressional group house is subsidized by religious group, records show

By Lara Jakes Jordan, Associated Press, 4/19/2003 13:18 "WASHINGTON (AP) Six members of Congress live in a $1.1 million Capitol Hill town house that is subsidized by a secretive religious organization, tax records show.

The lawmakers, all Christians, pay low rent to live in the stately red brick, three-story house on C Street, two blocks from the Capitol. It is maintained by a group alternately known as the ''Fellowship'' and the ''Foundation'' and brings together world leaders and elected officials through religion."

AP needs to be outed on this reporter.

It seems relevant to me that the reporter's husband (that's a first hand relationship) is managing John Kerry's campaign. As for changing what Santorum said, that's what this [ridiculous] article does. He didn't say consensual [gay] sex, he said consensual sex.

Have a nice [rotten] day.

I think the left has picked on the wrong guy this time. Santorum isn't your typical linguini-spined politician who will cave to the pressure from the looney left and even some of his collegues in the Senate. He has the courage to stand firm and, in a nice way, tell them all to go straight to hell.

............Don't let this story die!

Keep it in the news cycle!

Here's what I don't get.

SARS is speading BIG TIME in populations with a high homosexual demographic. This could be AIDS redux.

If the Democrats insist on demonizing and then protecting them, they will suffer the same fate that the Muslims suffered after 9/11.

Afterall, it was the Democrats who demonized the gays, then blamed it on Santorum.

Speak out and debate, or shelter and protect.

Using the gays as a tool could cause them harm, but the Libs don't care.

Looks like he's already doing it. It helps that there was nothing even remotely inappropriate in what he said. But I agree with you on Santorum, and I fully expect him to handle this little "firestorm."

C'mon now - the second and third hand relationships of a reporter are not germane to the discussion.

Marriage is not a second-hand relationship for most couples -- it is their most primary and intimate partnership. And the reporter's marriage partner is somebody to has an immediate and great interest in causing trouble for Republicans, especially Senate Republicans, as Kerry stands to benefit politically and financially if the Democrats regain control of the Senate.

This is a very visible conflict of interest

Dude, must you pollute every thread with your inane Leftist crap?

This is a non-issue, and you trying to stir up the drama doesn't cut it.

It's all about partial birth abortion, Hillary Clinton and her public humiliation at the hands of Rick Santorum.

Oh! I get it!

When a Republican, say Trent Lott, says something stupid, the Dims bring out the tar and feathers!

When a Dim says something stupid, which is almost all of the time, we must take a deep breath and put it all behind us.

Once behind us the Dims can bring out the tar and feathers again.

So it's not Websters but it sure stinks of donkeyocracy!

{ 5 points for the new word! )

Besides the wife urging said reporter to make mountains out of mole hills. I could be labeled a racist if I said "Whats with those 'bling-blings' black people wear? Arent they heavy?"

I have no hatred there, maybe a little ignorance on ethnic fashions but certainly not racist. Now if I was famous or powerful, this could be transformed very easily into drawing me up as some KKK member... Journalism, itself, MUST be watched.
