I have read that some Russian biologists say that SARS is a mumps/measles mix, others like Patricia Doyle say it looks man made, and others saying it can't possibly be. I would like to hear informed educated guesses here.... I have no science background, but I know there are people here with such background and education. What do you smart folks out there theorize?

Sorry, but the virus has been gene sequenced in both Atlanta and Singapore.
It is a simple Coronavirus.
It has nothing to do with either mumps or measels viruses.

That was a story in Pravda when SARS first apeared written by a "scientist" who did not even know the difference between a bacteria and a virus as he demonstrated by some of his statements.
