Couldn't find this posted. Another example of how much heart our troops have even when they've been shot at by "civilians." An amazing story, consider the father, ready to give his life savings to save his daughter's sight, even when she has been taken to our medical ship for treatment. I am happy they are still able to retain some pride after decades of Saddam's oppression.
It is stories like these that fly in the face of every claim by the "peace" creeps, that our soldiers are slaughtering the innocent.

A wonderful story.
When they arrived aboard the ship, Aya's father told doctors he wanted to pay for his daughter's treatment.
Apparently Aya's father is not a Democrat.

I'm developing an odd affection for our Iraqi brothers and sisters. This is a beautiful people we just liberated.

Apparently Aya's father is not a Democrat. Undoubtedly he knows all too well the yoke of oppression that is The-Government-Knows-Best-Ideology. It is inspiring to know that there are Iraqis who still have their pride -- and priorities -- still fully in tact.

It seems there are more and more stories and pictures of our men and women in uniform from 18 years old on up and it swell you with pride! Generation "X"? I think not. More like Generation "T" for Terrific or Genneration "G" for Great. How about those Marines freeing those jailed children in Baghdad receiving hugs and kisses from them and their parents? How about our troops administering first aid and transporting enemies that were only moments before shooting at them and trying to kill them?
Would I? Could I?
Like that reporter Martin Savidge said: "Where do they get young men like these?" My answer is the God Blessed U.S.A.

I, ANONYMOUS
"Homeland Analogy"
As my personal "protest" of the war, I have started f***ing
your wife while you're away fighting the people of Iraq.
We always made eyes at each other, but your leaving has facilitated a "regime change." Let's just say there's no shortage of "shock and awe" tactics back home, either.Funny how a macho soldier like you can't please a lady.
I do the simplest things and it makes her go wild. It looks like my "patriot missile" intercepted "your scud."
Your daughter and I made breakfast today, and went to the
park. She asked where you were, and I told her you were killing Iraqi children, and might not make it back. She didn't seem so bothered with the latter.
She slipped and called me "daddy" a couple of days ago--it was cute.
Don't worry; I'll keep up on your "homeland security,"
inventing new ways to please your wife, and driving your car.
So keep dropping your bombs over there, and I'll keep dropping my "bombs" over here.

Make no bones about it folks, this is how many on the left view those who serve and it is taken word for word from one of the leftist rags here in Seattle. This ought to show not only how out of touch they are but also to what depths of depravity they are willing to go to show their true colors.

Apparently Aya's father is not a Democrat. But if he were to get to this country, he would quickly learn how much WE owe HIM.

A flight was arranged for Aya to go to the hospital ship USS Comfort in the Persian Gulf. And please, no gripes about how many of our own people were shunted to the back of the line because of this little girl.

I agree with you about "Generation T".
I used to have a sardonic opinion about enlisted military because of unfortunate experiences from the Vietnam war crowd back in college. I thought they were pretty much scum.
The extreme professionalism of our current crop has left me instead with the realization that the reason it seems there are so few really good kids walking around the streets of my town is that ALL the really good ones have enlisted in the military!
Guess I'll have to move to a military town so I can get to know what it's like to be hang around with "Generation T".
