Howdy,

After reading how the chicks were number 1 on billboard's album chart, I checked all the airplay countdown charts that really matter (Airplay only, not sales related) for this week:

American Country Countdown with Bob Kingsley: Top 40 #1 Darryl Worley, Have You Forgotten?

CountryStars.com (Website for Great American Country) Top 20 #1 Darryl Worley, Have You Forgotten?

CMT.com Top 20 #1 Deana Carter, There's No Limit

Billboard Singles Top 20 #1 Darryl Worley, Have You Forgotten?

The Blue Chip Adult Country Chart Top 35 #1 Darryl Worley, Have You Forgotten?

None of these charts had the Dixie Chicks anywhere on them. I am wondering if the Billboard album charts (based on sales) is based on sales from a few weeks back. I say this because Darry Worley's new CD came out last week and he was nowhere in the top 20 albums, and I'd figure with all this airplay, he'd be getting more sales.

My station in KC still won't play them.

>>Oh Jeesh! Can't we give them a break?<<

No breaks here. The first defense that Natalie Mange gave was that there was such an "anti-American" sentiment abroad that she was caught up in it.

Anyone who is that unpatriotic and vocally so, will not get any breaks from me.

And it seems the Dixie Pigs are squealing like sows caught under a fence.

>>Having spent the better part of our lives manipulating people who think we are stupid, because we talk slow, it is damn near impossible for us to fall for that particular ploy.
They are toast.<<

That is exactly right. It was insulting to my intelligence to see "Brett Butler" trotted out onstage (no doubt paid by Sony Music) to drawl out to us yokels how we need to furgive n ferget, becawse the souwth is a playce uv siyun n ruhdemption n howpefully fergivniss.

Quite transparent and condescending. And met with the appropriate boos.

"Make that burnt toast."

Amen.

EXCELLENT POST!

I copied it and forwarded to some friends. I'll see you get your residuals.

"...I'll see you get your residuals...."

SerpentDove

Please donate all residuals to the Weight Watchers group attended by Natalie Maines. She hasn't paid her dues for a while and I think they have it coming.

The group has a hard job. It can't be easy to squeeze her ego with a butt that large attached to it into a small room.

Regards
