No financial problems? They adored each other? Hhhmmm, I seem to recall stories of extended debt difficulties and a certain affair with Amber. I'd say these folks are in complete denial.

I especially like this quote:
Jackie Peterson: "Several people who the police immediately tried to discredit the minute they came forward, so they're not coming forward."
Now Scott's attorney can subpoena them to testify so their story can be heard...

As guilty as Scott appears to me, I still would not like the police to get the idea in their head that I had done something wrong. Once that happens everything is tailored to fit that conception.

Wow. The guy dyes his hair, grows a goatee and has 10k on him when he was arrested. Of course he's innocent and has nothing to hide. Jackie dear, I know of someone who beat the crap out of his wife and kids and doesn't have a record, either.
Give those folks an honorary Baghdad Bob award...

Lee Peterson: Did you folks know that there's another pregnant lady that was floating in that bay in January? Another torso and two other pregnant women missing in that area. And that place is polluted with parolees. First I've read this claim. Is there any truth to this statement?

Why did Scottie sell her SUV, and why was he in the process of
changing his appearance? But, what else do you expect these poor deluded people to say? That their son is a murderer?

The couple was contemplating bankrupcy.
Four months later, Scott is arrested in San Diego, with bleached hair and a beard, driving a Mercedes and carrying his brother's ID and $10,000 cash. He was on his way to play golf at Torry Pines knowing that authorities were about to anounce whether or not the bodies found a few days before were those of his missing wife and son. He had made no attempt to find out about the bodies.
The only question is "where did this sociopathic SOB get all the money?"

I wouldn't expect anything else out of his parents at this point. Shame on the media for that horrid interview.

Lee Peterson: We were with them the week before Christmas, and you never saw a more loving couple. Jackie Peterson: Laci's mother stated the same thing prior to the police going to them. All her family talked about how much they loved each other. How happy they were. How happily married people they were. And how we all wished we were like that.
Was that before or after Scott told her that he was having an affair?
To: tessalu
Well, under the law, Scott
is innocent until
proven guilty in a court of law. You are all still free to speculate on his guilt however.(like that will never happen...heh heh)

I wish they would have told us why Scott was having an affair with Amber and expalin the comments Scott made to Amber.
To: tessalu
Don't really know if he murdered his wife and child. However, Scott did have motive (affair/financial difficulties/insurance), method (strong man) and opportunity (no one to verify his fishing expedition/bodies found 2 miles from his "fishing expedition). It's not uncommon for a man or woman with less motives to murder their spouses.

Another pregnant woman floating in Bay? Other pregnant women missing? Is this true?
To: tessalu
INNOCENT!
While he deserves a trial, he is guilty as sin... in my humble opinion.
This is tantamount to saying that Ted Bundy was innocent.
These morons obviously studied at the Bill Klinton School for Advanced BS. Tell a lie often enough, and it becomes the truth.
Fire up the gas chamber.... party of one waiting.

I despise the media. Here we have two people who are in obvious grief probably going through the worse time of their lives and right on cue, some scumbag from the media sticks a microphone and camera in their face to get their reaction.
The media has no shame, anything to be first, get the story and bump ratings.
Before someone even tries to defend the media by saying that they could have just said no, it's obvious they're going through hell and are no doubt not thinking clearly.

A fundamental truth for investigators:
Innocent people want a full, complete, and accurate investigation and will cooperate fully with authorities, knowing that the truth will show them to be uninvolved.
Those guilty do not want a complete investigation, knowing it will show them to be guilty. Attempts will be made to mislead, confuse, and direct authorities away from the truth.

Any mom and dad would defend their son, they have no clue. They must wonder why Scott was playing golf when his son's body was being pulled from the same lake he fished in on a boat the the time Laci disappeared. A mom will always protest her son but come on.
To: tessalu
Time loves reporting this and I am sure that the N.O. of Women are screaming about the baby being considered a murder.
