No financial problems? They adored each other? Hhhmmm, I seem to recall stories of extended debt difficulties and a certain affair with Amber. I'd say these folks are in complete denial.
To: tessalu
I especially like this quote:
Jackie Peterson: "Several people who the police immediately tried to discredit the minute they came forward, so they're not coming forward."
Now Scott's attorney can subpoena them to testify so their story can be heard...

I'd say they're in complete denial. Now we know why Scott is the way he is. I bet his mother has never once made him accountable for any of his actions.
To: tessalu
As guilty as Scott appears to me, I still would not like the police to get the idea in their head that I had done something wrong. Once that happens everything is tailored to fit that conception.

Um... that's how all crimes are solved...

I wonder what excuse they have for his not being there while the DNA tests were being run on the bodies?

Wow. The guy dyes his hair, grows a goatee and has 10k on him when he was arrested. Of course he's innocent and has nothing to hide. Jackie dear, I know of someone who beat the crap out of his wife and kids and doesn't have a record, either.
Give those folks an honorary Baghdad Bob award...

Lee Peterson: Did you folks know that there's another pregnant lady that was floating in that bay in January? Another torso and two other pregnant women missing in that area. And that place is polluted with parolees. First I've read this claim. Is there any truth to this statement?
To: Anamensis
I have to think that if the MPD arrested Scott, they must have quite a bit of evidence stacked against him. The P's will eventually see it and still claim he's innocent.
They'll say he was off to relax while the tests were being done.
To: marajade
Tailoring the evidence to fit the person is not a legitimate way to solve crimes. Objective analysis is.

Why did Scottie sell her SUV, and why was he in the process of
changing his appearance? But, what else do you expect these poor deluded people to say? That their son is a murderer?

This is so typical of people in total denial. All they want to do is turn the entire story/investigation upside down/inside out to suit their own (their son's) defense. This is what the Ramseys did regarding the investigation into their daughter's death. It's also what OJ's supporters did. They wanted all the fingers pointed at the investigators/police screwups, etc....that it was all THEIR fault, that THEY (investigators) screwed up all the evidence, blah, blah, blah. Put LE on the defense...that's their motis operandi....all to take the focus off themselves.
Instead of asking their son the HARD questions and insisting that he be direct and cooperative with LE, providing direct, honest answers to LE investigation, they want to put all the blame on somebody else. The Ramseys did this time and time again and it makes me sick. From their viewpoint (or the one they want to convey), ALL LE is bad, bad, BAD!!! ... and cannot be trusted. Well I just don't buy it. I think this guy is guilty as all sin just OJ was guilty, and just like the Ramseys in the death of their daughter, or at least complicit in covering up the true facts about her death. Despicable people...ALL OF THEM!

What evidence are they tailoring?

The couple was contemplating bankrupcy.
Four months later, Scott is arrested in San Diego, with bleached hair and a beard, driving a Mercedes and carrying his brother's ID and $10,000 cash. He was on his way to play golf at Torry Pines knowing that authorities were about to anounce whether or not the bodies found a few days before were those of his missing wife and son. He had made no attempt to find out about the bodies.
The only question is "where did this sociopathic SOB get all the money?"

I wouldn't expect anything else out of his parents at this point. Shame on the media for that horrid interview.

"Give those folks an honorary Baghdad Bob award..."
ROFL! I'm sure we could think up a bunch of people who deserve that award.
Scott's mom and dad are narcissistic pigs also. Who knew?
To: tessalu
Lee Peterson: We were with them the week before Christmas, and you never saw a more loving couple. Jackie Peterson: Laci's mother stated the same thing prior to the police going to them. All her family talked about how much they loved each other. How happy they were. How happily married people they were. And how we all wished we were like that.
Was that before or after Scott told her that he was having an affair?
To: VoteHarryBrowne2000
From what I have been hearing on the panel discussions, the guests were saying that it was most likely Laci, given the nature of the bodies that washed up. I don't recall of hearing of any pregnant women in her area turning up missing since her disappearance.
To: tessalu
Well, under the law, Scott
is innocent until
proven guilty in a court of law. You are all still free to speculate on his guilt however.(like that will never happen...heh heh)
