There was a movie on television this past week starring Jessica Lange, Halle Berry, and Samuel L. Jackson. I believe the movie was called "Saving Isaiah." It had to be one the biggest pieces of liberal PC garbage that I have ever seen. Seriously, one of the all-time worst. I eventually just had to turn it off.

Halle plays an illiterate ex-drug addict who threw her baby into the dumpster and left him to die. She later finds out that the child was alive and living with wealthy white parents (they adopted him). She fights to get the child back and wins, in part, because "a white person can't raise a black child."

In the movie she wears no make-up. I did not even recognize her until there was a scene where she gets all dressed up, and then all of a sudden she looked stunning.

Hollywood folks are HYPOCRITES. Most movies can have all kinds of people playing. Unless a role is a historical figure or someone true to life, anyone of any color can play any role.

Yeah until we are all watching E! true hollywood story and find out the truth! Actually money does solve a multitude of ills in the hands of a mentally stable person. However, most folks in hollywood aren't mentally stable.

She is a lovely woman from head to foot. If she were conservative, she would be perfect.

Have you ever seen the real story? I remember crying watching the officials rip that black child out of the arms of that mother. The daughter she had got into deep depression, etc.

I didn't need to see that movie to know it's a crock. The National Black Social Workers Union was the worst thing ever to happen to adoption.

Hollywood's aversion to casting her in what -- about a dozen movies so far?

IMDB lists her in 27 movies, 4 TV series plus about a dozen notable guest spots on TV shows.

Whoopi Goldberg should have won best actress for portraying Celie in Color Purple. Berry is a whiner. I'd love to speak to her to find out what she's really like in private.

I have requested (and received) dispensation from my wife to have a physical relationship with Halle Berry if she should ever ask me. My wife feels its a pretty good bet...

My other favorite celeb (though minor indeed) is a local anchor-babe on KTLA Channel 5 in the mornings in LA--Sharon Tay. If there are more gorgeous women in the world than Halle Berry and Sharon Tay, I've never seen them.

And Sharon looks like my wife, so I guess I'm biased!

Berry added that being black still hinders her progress in Hollywood.

Bullshite.

I agree about Whoppi. That was a great role and the movie was far better than the book, imo.

I thought Oprah did a swell job too, and I am not an Oprah fan.

No, I didn't know anything about the real story. Stay away from this movie, though, unless you want a good blood boil. For example, Halle's character, who should have been arrested for attempted murder, or at the very least child endangerment, gets the child back simply because "that child needs a black mother." In court, the white woman who adopted the black child is grilled because she has not yet read the toddler any books on black history. So the courts decide it is best for the child to go back to a total stranger (who tried to kill him) who cannot even read at all. And so the whole thing goes...

When a friend tells Halle's character that her son is still alive, she says, "I just assumed he was dead." Then she decides that she should get the child back with the help of Samuel L. Jackson...
