Truth would reveal a different scenrio - an armed Vernon Wayne Howell who would *still* be intent on 'not being taken back to jail' (HE HAD a similar trip years earlier - for attepmted murder I think it was).
'Koresh' = Armed = Dangerous = Hazard to 'taking' him in public
Hazard = Shoot-out in public
Imagine TRYING to explian half a dozen innocent civilian bystander fatalities ...

Vernnon Howel was dangerous cause the BATF screwed up.
Instead of doing law enforcement they were doing Lawlessness. There was a stake out accross the road and Vernon did goto town. It was show.
