Good work tonight. Happy Easter.

It's unfortunate that too few people know what actually happened ten years ago today.

Interesting. But there is simply no way to know who did the shooting. Educated guesses are just that--guesses.

Woudn't it be possible that some people killed each other and themselves to avoid the horror of burning alive? In that case, its still the government's fault, because they laid seige to the complex to begin with.

It just makes me so sad, because we've just seen a war in Iraq where our military was instructed to make a great effort to avoid destroying any mosques, and they did a superb job of respecting the faith of the Iraqi people. Contrast that to what the Clinton administration approved doing to the Branch Davidian compound in our own country. It was a church facility and was laid seige to and the congregation killed, with little regard for religion or life.

Its scary and dangerous for the government to act that way. That's all I'm saying. Its scary. No matter what crimes the Davidian leadership committed or didn't commit, no American citizen deserves to meet their fate in that way.

WOW, this guy had a LOT of guns and stuff! Do you suppose the FED had any information that he intended to use them in an offensive manner? Or did they think, "Hey, he might hurt somebody, so let's go KILL HIM AND HIS WHOLE FAMILY"?

Koresh did the killing. Koresh is the bad guy. Don't ever forget it.

The murderers commited suicide.

That's what Bill Clinton said in his statement after the conflagration. Is that you Bill?

What utter anarcho-nonsense. Some bank robbers enter a bank to rob it, and the police arrive to surround it. The robbers decide to kill themselves and their children/human shields they brought along, and whack-jobs of the Salon Bolsheviki years later proclaim that the fault lies with the police for arriving.

The Feds didn't have a warrant in their posession. (A Fact, stipulated at Trial by the Prosecution.)

The Feds fired first. (A Fact, stipulated at trial by the Prosecution)

The Feds killed Vernon Jordans child. (Also a fact stipulated at trial by the Prosecution.)

No warrant was presented at the time of the 'raid'. (Also a fact stipulated at trial by the Prosecution.)

The surviving Davidians were charged with Murder of Federal Officers, and all of those charged with that crime were acquited by a jury of their peers.

I'm not a liar _Jim. You are, among other things.

One of these days, the people who were in charge of this monstrosity in Waco are going to be called to account for their crimes, and I'm going to laugh....

With any luck I'll be able to look into their eyes just before they meet their makers.

Who knows, maybe you'll be one of them.

Sleep well.

Go back and read my posts, Schmertz. You will find nothing complimentary there about the goon Reno and her riot squad.

. . . monstrosity in Waco

The "monstrosity in Waco" had a name: David Koresh.

All of you knee-jerk government bashers, by conveniently ignoring David Koresh's ultimate responsiblity for his debacle, prove nothing but that he still controls and manipulates your emtotions from hell, where he is today.

So the bank robbers(Davidians) entered the bank(America) to rob(not pay taxes on machine guns) it. Am I following your logic correctly?

So...were there any illegal weapons found?

Did you MISS the allusion as to WHY he was so driven to be heavily armed?

(HINT HINT: POSSIBLE ATTACK BY A *DAD* OF ONE OF THOSE 10 YEAR OLD GIRLS HE DIDDLED.)

Sorry - you're still missing my point. Disregard ...

Were there? All Mr. Koresh had to do was submit to the lawful warrant and take his case to court, rather than murder innocent children.

The whole reason for the raid was that there was something illegal going on at Mt. Carmel. Illegal weapons. Did they or did they not find them?

Do you know the answer?

The answer is, Koresh was responsible for the murder of several dozen men, women, and children. It wouldn't make the slightest difference if he had done it with "legal" rat poison or by beating them with tree branches. As it is, he did it with a variety of firearms, gasoline, and a match.

Now, why do you defend him?

The feds did the murdering that day.....ergo, 60 ton tank/CEV crashes into the church wall....feds announce, "This is not an attack." What were those poor religious folks supposed to do?
