...and the warrant was being served by the BATF. Unfortunately they didn't bring the warrant with them on the morning of the BATF raid. Oh well, that's just a technicality, right _jim?

Don't confuse _Jim with logic, Fred. His head will explode. Here's your failure - you're out to slander, not discuss ...

"Of course, you would rather slander than discuss reasonably."
Oh, of course. (sarcasm off)
"Meanwhile, the conclusions you have drawn are wrong, Henry"
Really? It's hard to draw a different conclusion from your posts.

Welcome to Heaven.

In their hurry to start the festivities nobody brought one. LOL!
To: _Jim
You are the one trying to re-write history, here.
He had complied earlier with other search warrants served on the property. They did not try to arrest him off of the property.
To: Fred Mertz
Back already? You must have one of those "postage-stamp"-sized yards like I wish I had sometimes. (Mowing, weedeating, and putting out fire ant bait on an acre and a half takes some doing on a 100-plus day).

No, Jimbo, it's not speculative wishing. It's a FACT that had Koresh been arrested off of the compound, the BATFags would not have had the justification to dress up in ninja gear and assualt the "compound."
To: Henrietta
Do you have that 'cite' yet proving your point?

You forgot that the Constitution is a "living" document.

Your flat denials that the feds could have arrested Koresh off the 'compound', are not discussion.

"I own an studio apartment adjacent to my condo. Can I be a compound too?"
Quite possibly. I'd move as soon as possible, if I were you. In the meantime, keep your arsenal at a friend's house. Just make sure he doesn't have a "compound" first.
To: _Jim
We got lots of "law" and very little justice.
To: strela
No, I've got 1.5+ acres, and I'm a procrastinator too. Gotta run now for real!
To: Fred Mertz
Fred, come on, I warned you: Do not under any circumstances try to reason with Jimbo. His head will explode, and then we'll ALL be banned.
I guess I should take my own advice and abandon this thread immediately...
To: Henrietta
It's a FACT that had Koresh been arrested off of the compound,No it's not - now it's reached the stage of common, rampant speculation ...
I even addressed some points why that would be dangerous - things, I think, that the simple-thinkers on this thread never thought about.

In their hurry to start the festivities nobody brought one. That's good. Just play it by ear?
I do agree with another poster, I am glad that sheriff doesn't have a big ego and is doing what he can to prevent a tragedy.

sandbagged shooting positions, trenches and an underground bunker built of concrete and wood." -- New York Times / August 25, 2000
How dare they call it a compound!
