If you read my post, that is the point I was trying to make.
I'm not sure this guy is sharp enough to pull this off.

This isn't a spectator sport; it's a murder investigation. That's serious stuff, and the public's "need to know" is very much low on the priority list compared to nabbing the murderer and getting a conviction. That's swill. It is a spectator sport. This isn't 1903. It's 2003. The more the public knows about this monster the better. Evil lives and we should have all due knowledge.

I understand. He certainly didn't do a great job of making sure the body would never be recovered... a bit more research would have been in order.
Of course, now he'll probably say he was framed.

Imagine you're waiting the outcome of DNA evidence to confirm that dead bodies are those of your wife and son. Do you go out on a golf outing? Not me, I'd be busy trying to change my appearance by growing a beard and lightening my hair. I always do that when they find the bodies.

I should add, there job is to catch the actual killer and then to provide factual evidence to the court that will convict him. In doing that they're doing the public duty.

I'm not sure I follow your logic here. One could argue that his going on a golf outing was very "unconcerned" behavior that indicates he believes he's innocent. If he's innocent, he wouldn't know whether that body was Laci or not. Seems like he'd care, if he were innocent. Seems like he might think she was still alive, if he hadn't killed her himself. Seems like he'd be hanging around like her parents, waiting on tenterhooks to see whether that was her body or not. For someone who's innocent, he displays a remarkable lack of curiosity about that body.

OJ was an "airtight case", too.Except for jurors.

I hope that the jurors of the OJ trial EVERY DAY have visions of Nicole and have shame in their hearts for letting her murderer go free.
My prediction: At some future time, one of Nicole's children will kill OJ for revenge.
To: dwilli
If the authorities arrested him because they feared he was about to cross the border, I wonder if their case might not be airtight yet.Based on what I've read and heard in the media, I wouldn't vote guilty. I *think* he's guilty but there isn't any proof he killed her that's been made public: no cause of death, no location of death, no motive, etc.

Umm I think the jury pool will be considerably different than the OJ pool...what community can Scott the sociopath draw from to save his sorry rear?

And that's something we should all be grateful for....the MOdesto police ave kept this very close to the vest so the trial ( which is where your questions will rightfully be answered) will have a lower chance of being overturned

The booking photo
Seems Scotty boy has changed his appearance. Dyed his hair, grown some whiskers.

what community can Scott the sociopath draw from to save his sorry rear? Berkely?

"Hard to imagine he couldn't be convicted on this. But I understand his folks are already claiming someone dumped the bodies there to implicate him?" What was he doing at the Marina on the very same day his wife and unborn son went missing (and where they later turned up), then? His whereabouts place him not necessarily at the crime scene (not public knowledge yet), but his whereabouts place him not far from where the bodies were found.
I'm 99.9% confident even if the Defense tries to say he was framed that their "defense" won't hold water -- no way.

"frat-boy stuff"
Only someone who has never been a fraternity member uses that disparaging slur. Its sole intended purpose is to stereotype, ridicule and create negative images against the fraternity and sorority system.
Liberal opponents of George W. Bush in the past presidential election overused that slur. The term is very revealing as it is used almost exclusively by males that apparently acquired deep personal resentment during their college years toward the groups of guys that supposedly were far more successful than they with ladies. Manhood and personal attractiveness seem to be the underlying issues.
Yes, I belong to a fraternity; the same one as John Wayne and Barry Goldwater.

OJ was an "airtight case", too. True, but the authorities did not want another race riot in LA, so the political decision was made to move the venue to a jurisdiction where the mob (jury) would say, "Give us Barabas!"

Its sole intended purpose is to stereotype, ridicule and create negative images against the fraternity and sorority system. Fraternities/sororities are a self-stereotyping. self-ridiculing outdated system of pretending people are somehow important because they have "brothers" who are pretending they are important too. No I never pledged or joined a fraternity, had no reason to.

This is not an open and shut case. Suspicions do not convict. Any public evidence as relayed by the press, does not offer an air-tight case. It has to be substantiated by unknown evidence that the police have or this is going to be a hard case to win. Also pre-meditation has to be proven in order for it to be a capital case. I think he is guilty as sin but this case could be hard to win.

But I understand his folks are already claiming someone dumped the bodies there to implicate him?Somebody has got to catch the O.J. killers before they kill and frame again.
