Mending mayoral fences won't be easy for the GOP

When Republican Party honchos gather this morning for a so-called unity breakfast, it's going to take more than singing a few verses of Kumbaya to mend the deep rifts left by the first round of the mayoral campaign.

John Peyton stepped on a lot of people leading up to last Tuesday's vote and they aren't likely to come running back with enthusiasm to support Peyton now that he has squeaked into a runoff against Nat Glover.
