Everyone has opportunity and everyone has a responsibility to society; anything less is unacceptable. To let an entire segment of society break the law, within or outside their special status quo is wrong and illegal. The probalem is one that must be addressed within black culture itself, at home, before it hits the streets in youth or adult hood. Schools should stop cattering to the lowest denominator approach in both academic standards and behavior. Unless children are held accountable, the things they learn will inprision them compliments of their parent(s) and society at ever level in America.

I'm a bit late getting to this thread- but wanted to note I certainly agree.
The answer is:
-2 parent family
-family care not day care
-structure and discipline
-education that stresses personal responsibility, critical thinking, and the value of learning as a tool for improvement of self and society
The fact that prison culture is all the rage: pants falling off, shoes either untied or with no laces, etc (among youth regardless of race) should be a major tip-off that something is very wrong with this picture.
