Why would it be illegal. Anyway, any symbolic honor to this woman is a plus for us all. She died serving all of us.

There's a five year waiting period but she pushed this thru in a matter of days. She also tried to get some guy on this board to resign because he was against it due to the current law.

Why would it be illegal.

See post six. It is against federal law to rename any geographic sites until the person being named has been dead for five years. Lori hasn't been dead five WEEKS.

Anyway, any symbolic honor to this woman is a plus for us all. She died serving all of us.

I couldn't care less. To break the law in order to score feel-good points is evil right out of the Clinton playbook. And of course, the AZ governor is a Clintonite RAT.

Why would it be illegal.

It's illegall because both State a nd federal law specificallty forbid the naming of geographic features after dead people until they are 5 years deceased.

Why? to stop knee jerk reactions, to stop political grandstanding, and to allow for public input.

Furthermore, 4 other Arizonans have died in the line of duty - Nothing is proposed for them.

Napolitano used this as a callous bit of PC pandering to advance her own career. She is manipulating the memory of a dead person for her own selfish gain, not only that, she flagrantly broke several laws to achieve her goal. Her Arrogance is breathtaking.

Her behavior is positively clintonesque, she tried to fire the person who told her that her act was illegal ala Billy Dale, then ignored the illegallity and bullied a committee (they all work for her)into an illegal passage of her proposal.

The proposal was illegal, and the committee that passed it had no Quorum to vote on it - no matter, she got her way.

What monument was erected for the first American Indian male soldier to die for the united States of America?

Answer: Nobody knows.

I want separate mountain ranges named for both the first Polish American male and female servicepersons to loose his and her life for our country. Sarcasm. ;^)

The governor of Arizona should be ashamed of herself. But she is probably very pleased at 'striking a blow' for all American Indian squaws.

What a pea-brain political twit the people of Arizona have as their governor!!!!

Rumor has it that Janet 'I am Diversity' Napolitano was going to rename her Arizona's Public Information Office in Baghdad Bob's name, until the dumb bastard hung himself.

Maybe a length of rope would be a suitable gift to the short changed governance afforded red-faced Arizonians by her Excellency Napolitano, the grand poopoo of their fine state....you know the old saying...."give them enough rope...."

This unadulterated feminazi CRAP!!!!!

Pity the citizens of Arizona. They've a bigoted sexist fool leading their parade.
