I lean toward the scenario of an accidental killing and then a complex plan to hide the body. He sure is stupid. He should just have admitted it and gotten a light sentence instead of all this deception. I'm glad they arrested him; I think he was on his way to Mexico--dyed hair, beard. Ruined not only Laci and Conner's lives but his own and all his and her family members. It is so incredibly sad.

The boat that no-one knew about? And he didn't just make all those bucket anchors that night/morining after he "accidentally" killed her.
Also the "tidal" info found on his computer...all looks like pre-meditation to me.

I was leaning toward unpremeditated murder until I remembered that the police had found detailed studies of the tides and currents of that Berkely Marina on his computer. I know that some fishermen might do this, but not for such a short fishing trip. This was planned down to the tide.

I was thinking the same thing. Let's say it was an episode of rage, he injured her, even to the point of knocking her unconscious, and with serious damage to her body.

If he hadn't been so foolish, he could have called 911, and gotten some help for her, but no, he has to finish her off like that. Stupid and sickening.

I just hope she got in some good blows to him before she was finished.

I sure do wonder if these other cases at ASU and SLO have any connection to him...it doesn't seem that someone as seemingly cold-blooded as SP has never done something like this before.

I'm thinking Scott had been trying to figure out for quite some time how to get out of being a husband and father, being "tied down" or "held back", so to speak, and one night the opportunity presented itself, in the form of an argument. I don't believe he killed her by accident, but in a fit of rage where he was mad enough to kill.
