I'm thinking Laci found out about the affair Scott had and it threatened to ruin Scott's "perfect boy" image so he snapped or she whacked him and he went wild. Sounds like the perfect image problem that often rears its ugly head when everyone learns it ain't so perfect after all.

Very good observation. There are certain people who cannot survive an "image defamation". They will lash out without thinking; they are in a rage. This could be an explaination for Scott Peterson.

I kind of doubt that scenario. Everything i've been reading and hearing on the news reports suggest some sort of pre-planning went into this: making cement blocks, checking out tides, etc. Pre-meditated actions preclude a spontaneous "lost my head and whacked her" scenario.

Here's something else interesting i just saw on Greta with her panel of detectives, criminal defense lawyer, and a forensic pathologist. They were all talking about what a 'cool customer' scott is, and how he's kept his mouth shut and not gotten riled over these last several months. And with him going GOLFING today while the rest of the country awaits DNA identification of HIS WIFE and HIS BABY, they were incredulous that his behavior was so inappropriate of a typical spouse. Even the defense attorneys were shaking their heads that scott was going golfing!

And then they suggested that perhaps scott was a sociopath, and that perhaps, just perhaps, there are OTHER things in his past of a violent nature that his wife's death didn't shake him up. They also had a former FBI agent on who'd investigated the death of a co-ed at the college scott attended. No, strike that. i don't think they said 'death'; the girl 'disappeared' and was never found. unsolved crime and they suspect death. they're wondering if scott had anything to do with THAT. They said again that maybe they were dealing with a serial murder. it was at that point that greta got nervous and abruptly changed the subject.
