IMO, I think police found the cement blocks with legs attached. I read they used a tibia bone for DNA. Since most articles state the body was missing the legs, they would have had to find the legs in order to do this.

If they found the cement blocks and they have the molds, they could prove the blocks were made from that mold. I could be wrong, but I seem to recall that leg bones were used (muscle & bone marrow)from both the mother & baby.

I don't know if you saw it, but on Fox the first night after the find, they had the harbormaster of the Berkley marina on briefly. A map showed that the bodies washed up on SE and South facing shores. The harbormaster talked about wind and currents, and noted that an unusual - and strong - two days' of wind blew from the south the two days previous...implicitly explaning why the bodies washed up on those shores.

I hope the body wasn't in an area previously searched by the LE on boats (remember the anchor found)? The Levys already went through that incompetent search strife with their daughter.

I thought he said that Peterson may have confessed to someone in his own family. I'm not sure though. As for the cement blocks, there was quite a bit of attention a while back on his use of cement. They studied his boat which apparently had traces, as well as the dumpster at his office (as I recall). CNN also just talked about the blocks and said that it would be consistent with anchoring a body. (My, that demonstrates an expertise worth CNN's consulting money, huh?)

What? Are you saying Scott Peterson had two girlfriends before and they are missing? Hello? Really? What's up with that?

There's a lot of mystery about this, but from what I remember:

First, SP began college days in Arizona, but within 6 months left school and returned home. His parents claimed they had no idea why he left school.

Then he went to San Luis Obispo for school.

In both those towns there is an unsolved death of a young woman. In SLO, Scott was supposedly on the list of people to be questioned in the disappearance of the girl, don't think she's ever been found either.

And at Arizona, from what I've read around here, there is an unsolved murder case, though I can't find any other source for that one. But the one in SLO is pretty well known. Think the first name is Kristin, last name might be Smart actually.

Because they can. It's their case, they've done a very good job with it and they deserve credit for keeping their cards close to their vest. I'm sure the temptation to blab about the case has been strong, but they didn't do it. I hope your post wasn't a criticism.

What is CNN babbling about? They just said, "Scott Peterson told police he went to Berkeley Marina on Dec. 24, RENTED A BOAT, and went fishing."

RENTED a boat??

Then when I commented on this apparent inaccuracy, my other half chimed in and said, "He probably rented one b/c he didn't want all that blood and mess in his shiny new boat."
