Victims DIE. At worst, perpetrators get harassed for the rest of their LIVES.

Families of victims can say whatever they please, it's the least that we can give them.

And brutal? No, that press conference was not brutal. Laci's dismemberment, that's brutal.

Misunderstanding, corrected!!! We can agree that this is a horrid case for the family of Laci Peterson, so very sad. I reacted the way that I did, because so RARELY do victims/families get to speak out, I applaud them when they do.

I had to turn it off. My heart was aching, I know hers is broken. I know she is going through hell, I just couldn't bear to listen to all of it. What a horrible nightmare. And it is just beginning, they still have the funeral and the trial. TERRIBLE TRAGEDY caused by the brutal hands of Scott Peterson. Well, how does he like the mess he has gotten himself into? I can't wait till the death penalty comes down! I so hope it does!

As absolutely dreadful and life changing this experience was for Laci's mom, she felt the need to make a public statement. That shows how much she loved and misses Laci.

I'm wondering if SP had violent tendencies in the past and if that could be admitted under Ca law. I don't see him becoming a monster overnight - a literal monster.

Jackie Peterson wears blinders: she can only see Scott; everything is about him; he is never wrong or guilty; other people are at fault; the cops framed him; the media framed him; Laci pushed him too much - that's why he had affairs! Etc., etc., etc. The woman is clearly in need of psychiatric help... the apple never falls very far from the tree, does it?

Too many folks confusing common sense with the law. Unless the police and prosecutor have a LOT more than they have now, or have a LOT more they ain't talking about, they have a LOT less than an "airtight" case.

I also think we'll see a change of venue. Gonna be a hell of a trial and a media circus.

I think it will get moved to LA....like the SF dog mauling trial.... too many people in the Modesto area have an emotional committment to the search, etc.

I was listening to KFI640 (LA) and heard about 5 callers tonight saying there is no case (all men.)

That was my first thought when I heard his mother said that, maybe Scott has killed several pregnant women. She is hurting his case. I know she is upset, but she isn't helping her (guilty) son.
