Brig. Gen. Vincent Brooks said Samir Abd al-Aziz al-Najim, a senior leader of Saddam's shattered Baath party, was handed over to U.S. forces overnight by Iraqi Kurds near the northern city of Mosul. Good news! Ping for chart update.

""You are the masters today," al-Kubeisy said to cheers from, worshippers at the Abu Haneefa al-Nu'man Mosque . "But I warn you against thinking of staying. Get out before we force you out.""Gratitude is obviously a foreign concept to these ............................people.

It does make one wonder how many of the Baath leaders are left in Iraq and did they anticipate another strike on the coalition troops upon reorganizing or think the troops would leave soon and then strike. Or are they waiting around to see if Saddam resurfaces?

"But I warn you against thinking of staying. Get out before we force you out." Of course, when we do decide it is time for us to leave, they will still claim a victory in having forced us out. Bet on it.

My clueless opinion is that the low-level scumbags didn't have the cash or connections to leave Iraq, and the high-level scumbags with cash and connections are gone.

One wonders where the high-level scumbags are. Perhaps sipping coladas in Tahiti.

Hans Blix, the chief U.N. weapons inspector for Iraq, has urged the U.S.-led coalition to allow his team back into the country, saying it would increase the credibility of any weapons discoveries. Not.

A State Department official indicated Thursday that Syria may be prepared to hand over some of those leaders. Keep the pressure on 'em, Rummy & Powell!

The Iraqis are starting to sound and act French saying things like "Get out before we force you out!" Already ungrateful for what we did for them.... So French! On the other hand, Kuwait and England seem to be our true friends.
God Bless Our Troops! My prayers are still with you until you all come home!!!!!!!!!!!!! AMEN!
