Matt Hayes began practicing immigration law shortly after graduating from Pace University School of Law in 1994, representing new immigrants in civil and criminal matters. He teaches at Berkeley College, and is author of The New Immigration Law and Practice, a textbook to be published by West Legal Publications in October, 2003.
A conservative at Berkeley? This can't be the same Berkeley can it?

Obviously, the thing to do is to make the possesion of a matricula card illegal. You get caught with one, you go to jail, like pot. They are not kidding about wanting to make California a Mexican state, the only problem is, they would finish screwing it up and all the Mexicans who are there now would leave for greener U.S. pastures.

Berkeley actually has a higher ratio of conservatives to liberal profs than the University of Denver or DAVIDSON!!!
The American Enterprise ran a breakdown of faculty #s last summer.

LOL If the Mexicans want California, let them have it! Massive budget defecits, loaded to the brim with wackos and gun grabbing libruls. We could rest easy for decades here if we could get somebody to take California.

Depends which Berkeley you mean. This one is Berkeley College (NY and NJ), while the one I think you're referring to is the University of California at Berkeley. Different schools.
Cheers.

The white paper was prepared by, and appears on the Web site of, an organization called MALDEF (Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund). MALDEF's founder, Mario Obledo, has said publicly that "California is going to be a Mexican state, we are going to control all the political institutions. If people don't like it, they should leave." It's worse than that. Arturo Torres, head of the California Democrat Party, and thus far more influential than some half-ass Congressman, has said essentially the same thing.

The only thing I disgree with is this statement:
There was a time in this country, now thankfully past, when talk like that would land you in jail. But the fact that Obledo has the right to say such things doesn't make them right.
The Founding Fathers never intended the First Amendment to protect sedition. It's a pity we tolerate it now.

Mario Obledo needs to search "South Gate, CA politics"....
The hispanic electeds were SOOOO CORRUPT the voters (90%
hispanic) booted 'em ALL out, starting with the mayor.
