Some have forgotten that this site has "Defending the Constitution" -- not the war, and not Bush -- on its logo.

[...] FreeRepublic.com, a pro-war group

From a distance, who can tell otherwise?

[...] Kathy Wood [said:] "They are all hypocrites."

Where were you when Clinton had his splendid little war in Kosovo and Serbia, Kathy? Were you like Trent Lott, who "reserved the right" then to disagree with the president? ... Oh, I forgot, that was Before Free Republic, so any hypocrisy from then is inoperative (quoth Ron Ziegler, R.I.P.).

Free Republic "pro-war"? Like hell it is. Pro-power for "our man in the White House"? Yes.

You've been registered at FR for a long time so you should know that the DC Chapter, myself included, was outside the White House protesting Clinton's actions when he wagged the dog by bombing Iraq before he was impeached and again when he committed our troops to action in Kosovo. We were still there when Clinton bombed the aspirin factory and sent cruise missiles to an empty camp where he just missed Osama Bin Laden by an hour or two (drat the luck) -- he was attempting to change the focus from himself and Monica Lewinsky's testimony before a grand jury and was not serious about ridding the world of a terrorist. (God Bless the Dress!)

Free Republic "pro-war"? Like hell it is.

We spent 15-20 minutes with the Washington Times reporter and this is all she could include in her article. She has been told many times that we do not consider ourselves "pro-war." We are pro-America, pro-troops; we support our troops and leaders when it is necessary to go to war, we support the Constitution and the Rule of Law -- so this is her own interpretation and what she wanted to classify us as in her report. This reporter definitely knows a lot about Free Republic since she spent an entire day in our company on January 18, 2003 at the Patriots Rally for America III in the morning and outside the Marine Barracks all afternoon as the ANSWER anti-war crowd marched past our position.
