I dont attend a 'popular' church, I attend a strong, fundamentalist Bible teaching Church

http://www.midletownbiblechurch.org

We dont have concerts, we dont sing contemporary music, we sing hymns, we take it serious, we dont play Christian Rock from the pulpit. In other words, we are the abnormal church of the day.

We have a nursery for the kids during the service, but not the rest of the week. We generally disagree with the Christian School movement because it tends to make kids unbable to withstand when out in the real world among 'sinners'. Sheltering them is not the answer, instructing them in the way they should go is.

We dont have baseball teams, basketball leagues, Karate at nights, AWANA or Kings Kids, we believe those groups are extra-Biblical organizations that are really unecessary if the parents and Church is doing their job. As for the kids groups, that is not what a church is for, the Church is supposed to teach the Gospel, not cater to clubs or groups.

The same goes for PROMISE KEEPERS, if a Church is doing their job, there is no reason for the men to go listen to some other Pastor tell them how to behave at home with their familes! Also, just reading your Bible should tell you those things, and if you need to go outside of the local church you are attending to be taught these things, you need a new church.

That means people dont stay normally. They want gimmicks, 'singles groups', entertainment, to be amused, a social club of believers on days not Sunday.

They want to see multiple 'ministries' of this and that, separate Pastors for diferent age groups, different sexes, schools, whatever, things that are not needed if a church is actually following what the Bible says.

I am 43. Not too many women who are single come into church that are in an age group that I would pursue, 33-45 or so. Some that do already have kids, multiple kids. I never had one and have no idea how to be daddy, let alone Husband!

And I think they are right, too. Some things I think they should be a little more lenient on, but not the things I listed above.

That's my problem. I want a woman who isnt afraid to go to a strong Bible church twice on Sundays and Wednesday nights who doesnt drink, smoke, or do drugs, actually likes to read her Bible, and still wants to hike mountains on Saturdays and go jogging with me during the week, or she can even take me skydiving for my first time with her.

I'd work my fingers to the bone for her, 3 jobs if I had to, to keep a roof over her head and keep her fed, and slay dragons for extra credit...If I could fnd one.

She would drive the better car, be better dressed than me, always have money for the kids before I ate, and all she would have to do is love me back.

My biggest problem is, I am not attracted to overweight women or plain janes or couch potatoes. Nor do women who spend all their weekends at quilting bees excite me, I want someone who is alive, dresses and acts like a woman, aint afraid to be a tom-boy once in a while, and has the patience to wait for me act grown up someday.

One of the things I admire about a friend's Church of Christ congregation is that they ban all music during services and instead concetrate on prayer.
