I never object to education. Thanks for the information.

Incidentally, I got into banjo through being a slide guitar player - lots of similar tunings. I never really worried about whether a song was appropriate for the instrument - I just played the durn thing. I'm currently working on "A Whiter Shade of Pale."

A very cool banjo page, with MP3's, may be found here.

I'm unfamiliar with that sing and suspect it is something current. Yes ?

Modern banjos sound dreadful; even the expensive ones. Banjos, from they " GOLDEN ERA " are expensive to HUGELY expensive and are mostly in collectors' hands. Most, except for the lowest grades are works of art, the likes of which, you probably have not seen nor heard.

Don't worry, except for some strange peopel, most banjo players think the same way you do and find almost NO music out of sync with playing on a banjo. :-)

Thanks for the link. FREEPmail me, anytime, you want to talk about the banjo. If I can't can't help you, I'll get my husband to; he's the expert and a world wide recognized one, at that.
