President Bush discussed the economy with small business owners today at the White House, and later held a small briefing in the Rose Garden. Bush called on Congress to pass his tax cut proposal to help stimulate the economy. The President also took the opportunity to discuss the war in Iraq and praised the work of the soldiers who have helped the Iraqi people achieve freedom. Also today, the President signed a proclamation commemorating the 35th Anniversary of the Fair Housing Act. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

QUOTE OF THE DAY: Today, the world is safer. The terrorists have lost an ally. The Iraqi people are regaining control of their own destiny. These are good days in the history of freedom.

Good evening! Local radio guy interviewed Carl Cameron of Fox today, and they concluded that this speech basically said "I was right about Iraq, now trust me on the economy."
I think that is a good assessment, and I am glad to see he isn't missing a beat!
By the way, I think I heard they were going to Texas for Easter. Is that correct?
To: rintense
Early dose! Thanks, rintense.
To: Miss Marple
I hope they go to Texas for Easter, I think Prairie Chapel would be a GOOD thing right now.
It's neat that he's striking while the iron is hot. Before the media and the demo freaks figure out a way to spin this war ... I don't know how they can, but they'll try.
