BR is one of the funniest political comedies ever made. In the film Robbins portrays a right-wing Republican candidate for senate and he does it so well that many conservatives ended up loving the character, which I'm sure was unintentional.

I loved the Bob Roberts songs: The Times are changin' Back! And what was the one about drug dealers? "Tie a rope... around the nearest tree... and string 'em up without a trace of sympathy...." LOL!!

Yeah, the songs in Bob Roberts are great. Actually, Robbins did think that some conservatives would like the songs, which is why the soundtrack to the film is not for sale.
