'Knight Rider' Heads to Big Screen
Mon Apr 14, 9:06 PM ETLOS ANGELES (AP) - The 1980s television series "Knight Rider" and its crime-busting, talking car are revving up for the big screen.
The drama starred David Hasselhoff (news) as Michael Knight, owner of the high-tech Pontiac Trans Am known as K.I.T.T. The film is planned as an action comedy, Daily Variety reported Monday.
This time, Hasselhoff will serve as executive producer for the Revolution Studios project, the trade paper said. Glen A. Larson, who created the TV show, is among the producers.
It's not yet known who will star in the film.

Look at Hasselhoff's left leg in that picture - it's Twiggy-sized. This is an action hero? Holy crap you're right! How does he even stand?

I assume so. It was a post from some woman who had heard co-workers talking about Reagan's death over lunch. There was no information to it. It was basically just her asking if anyone else had heard anything about it.

Justin is just smarmy enough to pull it off and Kelly Clarkson could play the tough-girl-sidekick-with-a-heart-of-gold role.

Ahh, but you forget, BA was shot...once. Was the whole plot of an episode. I miss they days when they'd go through five or six cars and a couple of crateloads of ammunition for a television show.

The 1980s television series "Knight Rider" and its crime-busting, talking car... Gee, this has me wondering, I wonder what Hillary's car would say as she sat in the seat wearing black "ol crusty" tooling down the Saw Mill .... I think I can fathom what the seat would be saying!!!

Yeah, the good old days. We need more crazy fun TV with bloodless explosions.

You boys need to keep with Greg's Previews on Yahoo! (formerly upcomingmovies.com):
A-Team Movie
However, it looks like production has been held up and may not ever get going.

The only thing that really matters is...will William Daniels be doing KITT's voice? My thought exactly. Just like with Charlie's Angels, that unmistakable voice is the key to the entire thing.

I thought Knight Rider was kind of lame. I would rather see a movie version of Speed Racer.

Somewhere ... a bunch of Germans are going to be orgasmic. When we were in London in November we wandered into a West End Pub, whose name I forget. What was memorable were the xerox pages taped everywhere inside and on the windows, promoting the "David Hasselhoff Comedy Club". The club appeared to be upstairs with performances on weekends.
The place was nearly empty and I inquired nicely of the bartender, who finally admitted that it was a sham to lure in German tourists.
They typically told the Germans that, "Oh, David couldn't make it tonight".

1. Anthony Hopkins
2. Chevy Chase (Chevy, get it?)
3. Snoop Dogg

How a 'bout Justin Guarini from American Idol? They have the same hair..... OMG... I thought the same thing when I read about the search for the next David Hasselhoff. Justin immediately came to mind. Then I scrolled down the page and saw your post. I'm not sure what's scarier -- the prospect of Justin Guarini wearing those tight 1980's pants, or the fact that there are at least two people that know who Justin Guarini is... ;-)

I like how rapper Busta Rhymes used the show's beat into a hit song.

Plot summary from IMDB.com--
Plot Summary for Super Knight Rider 3000 (2003)
Based around the Pilot episode of the hit TV series Knight Rider, this currently unnamed film will be a big action hit, with a lot of gadgets and toys in KITT. The talking supercar, with the help of his human partner Michael Knight, fights those who operate above the law and helps the innocent, the helpless, and the powerless.
Michael Knight comes out of retirement after being frozen, because he was injected with a fatal poison. Devon, who is now the great-great-grandniece of Devon Miles, Michael's boss and mentor, is now running the Foundation for Law and Government, which is called FLAG. She, with her new partner (a very young Michael Knight type), will team up with the original Michael Knight and the new K.I.T.T. to carry on what will be the Knight Rider 3000 in the future.

Guarini looks like the love child of Michael Jackson and Richard Simmons. His hair gives me nightmares.

Yup, along with my witty "Generallissimo Francisco Franco is still dead" bit. :-(
