Eason Jordan is a lying, craven SOB. This revelation thoroughly and--I believe--permanently discredits CNN as a reliable or trustworthy news source (not that there was much doubt to begin with). If you think about it, you can come up with high-sounding rationalizations that will justify almost any breach of ethics or fiduciary duties. Once you do, though, your reputation and trustworthiness are shot forever.

This is the lesson my dad taught me and the one I am trying to teach my boys. It is clear CNN's upper brass not only has not learned it, but they have institutionalized the opposite within their coverage culture.

Switch channels for good.
