30. Banning of military reenactments The questionable "historical" value of these events has escaped public scrutiny for too long. Many of these so called historical events are mere excuses for gun nuts to blast the countryside with automatic weapons.

My favorite. I never knew that there were automatic weapons during the Civil War.

BTW, is this really real?

That this memo contains items that seem like "common sense gun control" speaks volumes about how far off the deep-end these people are.

Arsenal License: (currently at 20 guns or 1000 rounds of ammo) Suggested Fee schedule: $300- $1000 annual fee. Alternate Yearly Fee Schedule: If guns owned exceed 20 - $200 per gun over the limit If ammo quantity exceeds 1000 - $100 per each 50 rounds over the limit (Fees are flexible due to requirements of local law enforcement)

I would love to see a politician run on the "Arsenal license" platform. They wouldn't make it to dog catcher.

This is a joke? We are seeing reports that the Brits are arming more and more of their police and ordering them to wear body armour because of increasing gun crime! And the people who say they believe our future depends on societal gun elimination want us to be more like them?

We need to bring 2A to the SCOTUS while Bush is in charge.

The Miller case needs to be a precident: Military arms are OK.

This is why the founders of this great REPUBLIC wrote the 2nd amendment into the Bill of Rights.

Now onto this.

Amendment II

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

You want to have fun w/ a politician? Ask him/her to define the 4 words "shall not be infringed" by those words alone. I can only think of one definition, that one cannot infringe on what ever it is implying, might be infringed. Simple enough.

The right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

But it's those 1st 4 words that the gungrabbers use "A well regulated Militia", that makes their argument what it is today.

How about we just drop those 1st four words and let the left try and argue that the people don't have a right to keep and bear arms?

This memo is fascinating. It's never been proven to be authentic; however, neither HCI nor its successor organizations have, to the best of my knowledge, denied its authenticity. It's also undeniable that it reads like a genuine wish list from Sarah's minions. Also, many of the measures on the list have been proposed at one time or another.

A thousand rounds is an arsenal? I've got about 4 arsenals for them to come inspect then. I hope they let me know who they are first, too. The only reason to ban .22 is so that no young people can learn to shoot on small calibers like most of us did. Goodness, these people make me so mad. I'm printing this up and sending a copy to everyone I know who owns a gun of any kind. I think I am actually beyond rational thought.
