Sir SuziQ's grandmother was a Gold Star Mom. At one time , during WWII, she had a banner with 4 blue stars hanging in her window. SSQ's Dad didn't serve overseas; he was a Drill Sergeant in the States.

A friend and her kids are making buttons that say "I support the Troops" and "God Bless our Troops". She also made some with a red circle border and a blue star inside the circle. She handed them out to families with loved ones serving in the military during Worcester's Support the Troops Rally last week. Many people didn't even know what it meant.
