Good Morning.

This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - Situation Room - LIVE THREAD.

It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.

Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A brief description of what the graphic is would help!  If you post graphics, please "size" them so that our browsers continue to load the rest of the thread!

MSNBC is reporting 2 US soldiers of the 101rst were killed and 2 injured today. The question is how? I caught the end of it. Were they disposing of munitions and something went off? Was it an attack? Grenade their Humvee hit?

PBS repeats this story just saying 2 died when a grenade went off. Can only assume its an accident. They also said another US soldier died in a car accident.

That bureau required a lot of time, money, and effort. And for what? CNN had to know the risk they were running in pandering to a bloodthirsty dictator. They sure weren't getting any stories to spike their ratings. Either they thought that no-one would give a darn and it was all about being able to say they had someone on the ground in Iraq, which is a distinct possibility, or there was something else in it for somebody involved.

Maybe Eason generated this stink to get everyone's minds off the other possibility...

I hope so. This phase anyway. I give the whole war 50 years.

Ephesians 6:12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Top Iraqi nuclear scientist Jaffar Al-Jaffar also surrendered in recent days. His surrender follows that of Lt. Gen. Amir Saadi, Saddam’s chief scientific adviser, who turned himself in on Saturday.

Sorry, couldn't resist. I hate Disney movies.

OOh, wouldn't that be rich if Combover's son got popped? Combover can hide behind diplomatic immunity, but does that extend to the families?

They're in Havana, too, are they not? Of course, Castro is the favorite dictator and darling of the media anyway.
