It's a spangly jacket with abstract pattern of fushia, lime green, and black. Set off with lime green button earrings. It's actually kind of a nice outfit for, say, a christmas cocktail party reception or something. :-)

McWethy asks the whereabouts of republican guards or high-ranking officials of the former regime and are they being tracked.
Torie Clarke says yes, they want to track down officials.
McChrystal says some of guard may return home to simply rejoin society. More concerned about fedayeen. They are concerned but do not think it is a looming threat.

They are concerned but do not think it is a looming threat. In CNN-Speak: General is concerned about "missing" Republican Guard (spoken in ominous, deliberate tone).

Another reporter asking about attention being ratcheted up to find WMD.
Then asks Torie Clarke about the scientific advisor saying the other day Iraq has no WMD and, the reporter states, he has no reason to lie now (can you see which way this is going?).
Torie: "Old habits die hard". Reporter doesn't like, and pursues this line of thinking (ascribing motives and such to the scientist). Torie responds that she has no desire to get in his head (the scientist's). She told the reporter she was serious about her "old habits" comment. In other words: We don't just take his word. (Me to reporter: Duh)

Gotta give her credit for that. It takes guts to wear something like that on world TV Profiles in Fashion Courage:

Good afternoon all, finally got caught up on this thread....did anyone hear the guy talking on Fox before this briefing started? He was discussing the Syria/WMD thing and SAID WE NEEDED TO SEND IN THE UN WEAPONS INSPECTORS! He wants them to find them for us. Does anyone know who this man was and do you think we would even consider that "quagmire?"
To: The Hon. Galahad Threepwood
Another question about WMD.
McChrystal affirms that material from certain sites are undergoing testing, no results ready to be shared, yet.

You caught that too, huh? Good.
Tests on possible WMD are still being conducted.

Female reporter: When will we release EPW's.
Answer: Not yet.

"The artist formerly known as Torie Clark... Is that from the "When Doves Cry" Spring Collection?"
I thought it was from Quark's Bajorian Spring collection, masterfully tailored by Garek.

Yes, unlike some on this site (other threads) who have stated "our military" has stated certain things have been ruled out---they have not.

Next question about how we'll abide by the Geneva Convention as an occupying force.
Clarke reminds they are not lawyers but all will be done correctly.
(Of course, these questions are asked laden with innuendo that underhanded schemes are the order of the day. Wankers.)

I'll say again, I like it. Shame it has to detract from the subtance of the briefing.

I was pleased to both catch the briefing AND have caught up with the Daily Thread. It's so quiet today, but that is a good thing as things roll along.
