Welcome Home Rally - 1:30 to 4:30
Tribute to Homeland Security - 4:30 - 4:45
Grand Finale - 4:45 - 5 PM

This is Memorial Day Weekend
Several hundred thousand people attend the Jazz Festival
Our friend and MC Mark Williams is on board
California National Guard is up to speed.

Concurrent events and attendance opportunities.

SUNDAY - Veterans Memorial Tribute: Reading of the Names at the Capitol Veteran's Memorial. This annual early morning event will be attended by a PDN delegation to pay our respects to those who gave their lives in service to our country.

SUNDAY - *Jazz Festival: Celebration of Faith The celebration is scheduled for Sunday Morning May 25, Convention Center Exhibit Hall. Check the Official Program for time. Our Celebration, done the way it was meant to be, is one of the most joyful, hand-clapping highlights of the Jubilee.

MONDAY - Jazz Festival: Salute to Service The Salute to Service honors all war veterans. It will be held at the Convention Center Monday, May 26, from 9:00-10:30 a.m., as the first in a series of Sacramento area events that day honoring America's brave women and men.

SATURDAY/SUNDAY - The Troops Train: (in the works) Our Bay Area members, our troops and their families have a very flexible schedule with the Capitol Corridor rail service to and from Sacramento. Take the train and make a family vacation out of this Patriotic Weekend. (kids ride free on weekends!)

Wow! A rally on Memorial Day weekend! The weather should be great, and there should be every reason that we will all be in high spirits with reasons to celebrate and give thanks. Thanks for the ping.

I'm gonna try and go too, although I haven't worked out the details yet. Maybe we can pick a time and place to meet beforehand or carry signs that indicate we're FReepers? I know I missed a few people at the last Sacto Rally and the SF Rally, and I'd like to try and avoid that this time around.
