"Some men lost their sanity when they saw women being blown apart. These men must have been chauvinist pigs."This is an odd passage. Seeing anyone blown apart would cause anyone else distress.
Is the author suggesting that there is something less horrifying about seeing men blown apart than women? On the other hand, why would being horrifed by the mangling of your fellow (female) soldier make you a pig?
There is some deep seated contour of the author's sub-conscious that is revealing itself in this piece. Darned if I can guess what it is.

It's called sarcasm. Soldiers understand that terrible things happen in combat. Decent men understand that these burdens should be shouldered by men and not women.
It is natural for chivalrous men to be more offended at the death of a woman, especially when it only serves to further a gender-bending feminist cause and the Democrats desire to weaken our military.

It seems perfectly clear to me that it would be more horrifying to see women blown apart than men. It is natural to me for a man to more compelled to save the life of an injured or endangered female than to do the same for a fellow male soldier at the risk of the mission. It also seems exponentially less likely for a man to be raped by his captors than a woman.
The insinuation that the soldiers that felt the same as I do on this were chauvinist pigs was sarcasm.
My take on your comment is that the abortionist society the author was referring to has already desensitized you.
