"We have restored chaos . . . our objectives have been acheesed . . ."
There were many more; I was busting with laughter. Bush is something else, one of a kind.

We'll take a man who has a true heart who occasionally stumbles over his words any day over a man with a cruel heart and perfect erudition.

To: RainDog
He looks absolutely drained. It is no surprise that he would mess up his words. Just think what all is on his mind.
At least we finally have a President who cares.

You're exaggerating. He immediately corrected his "chaos" statement... it hardly counts.

Who cares? He misspoke and then corrected himself in the next sentence.
I'd like to know what human being doesn't do this.

He immediately caught his error and corrected the chaos statement. Your use of ellipses is dishonest. I suppose you've never said 'east' when you meant 'west' or 'up' when you meant 'down.' Maybe you should correct this vanity post with the rapidity and good intent the president did.
To: mel
He looks pretty bad. Hope he can get some rest soon. I am sure Laura is worried about him.

Yea, he stumbled a few times. But who cares? I'ld rather have a man of integrity who is not a great speaker in charge of the country, then a used car salesman who is good at talking.
To: whadizit
I thought he looked great.
He also took a cue from Rummy and addressed the press with a note of incredulity at their whining about the looting. "No kiddin!" he said, and it is not the disaster they are trying to paint it.
Also said before that "Prayer is powerful".

You have to be nuts I think to want to be president. It has to be the most stressful job in the world. It tends to age people badly from the constant stress.

everybody makes mistakes like this whenever they speak... record yourself talking for five minutes, and then transcribe word for word what your recorded... you would be shocked to find all the awkward wording that comes out of your mouth...
To: sargon
. . . it hardly counts.I give him a pass; I am so proud he is our president. But it is a bit odd how tongue tied he was. Fodder for opposition.

Right after he said the part about the chaos, he corrected himself.
I thought his words were wonderful, if not perfect. I loved it when he gave that reporter a lesson in proper manners.
Always speaking well is not the litmus test for a person's intellect. Besides, a person's soul and character is worth so much more.
Clinton was supposedly smart but his character was truly lacking. I always wondered, if he is so brilliant, why he destroyed his presidency the way that he did. His 'legacy' is an embarrassment. Thanks to him, grammar school kids know all about oral sex.

To: gkhong
I agree totally!
Bush does not worry about how he speaks. He just gets'er done!
Clinton on the other.........
