I had hoped someone would have the wisdom to keep them alive for leverage perhaps as the regime crumbled but I had lost most hope especially after they found PFC Lynch in her torture chamber and all those dead troops' bodies.
This is incredible.

They did find one MIA yesterday in the desert....gave some prayers over his remains, placed a USA flag over him then placed him on a helicopter....for his final flight home. God Bless his family and all the families who have lost their loved ones in this war.

Sorry for the double post. Just woke up a short time ago on the East coast. Stayed up til 2:20 a.m. to watch the Support the Troops Rally in D.C.. Woke up this morning, turned on my computer and could not believe my eyes as I read they had found all seven P.O.W.'s ALIVE! Thank you Lord.
Called my Mom & Dad's house and my brother (who is retired from the Air Force due to an aneurysm)answered. He was not in favor of this war and doesn't like Bush either. BUT, he was happy about the P.O.W.'s and said that this is it. The war is over. I told him, we have to find the WMD too. He said yes, even if we have to plant them and that he doesn't put it past Bush to do that. I just chuckled and asked him to relay the info to my Mom & Dad about the P.O.W.'s. BTW, I have 7 brothers. Four were in the Air Force, one in the Navy. Two are deceased, not from combat. Three sisters too.
Finding you fellow Freepers has now extended my family clan!

LOL! I just had a thought.
Is it possible that the seven car convoy full of CNN reporters passed right by them yesterday? They said they were in that area prior to going to north Tikrit.

My God, my God - you have not forsaken us, even when we have forsaken all hope!
This is amazing. I am so glad to see them alive...
To: RANGERAIRBORNE
Thank God. I was wondering when we would find these guys. I hope they get adulation similar to Jessica Lynch's.

I hope especially that Chief Warrant Officer Ronald Young (one of the helicopter pilots) gets lots of media attention -- you could see, even in that atrocious Iraqi videotape, the defiance and courage in his face.
And now that he's rescued, he looks oriented and steady. Ready for the cameras, I hope!

couldn't agree with you more...CNN Sucks....and I'm appalled by CNN's Eason Jordan's 'confessional' in the NYT, verifying that CNN well deserves our scorn. But this morning, CNN got the big scoop, because Bob Franken was imbedded with the Marine unit that found our POWS. His early phone reports were riveting, and his grainy stills were the first look we got at them.
Later in the morning, Franken told viewers they held back on the news for several hours, per the Army's request, that he had about a 4-5 hour heads up on what had happened, before he could report it.
