The words 'PRODUIT D'URGENCE' on the barrels translates into 'Produces Urgency' (using internet French-to-English translator).

What the heck would that suggest that they contain???

I have no idea what they barrels contain, but Produits d'urgence might mean emergency supplies.

I would say more likely it translates as "product of urgence", or in other words, hazardous material.
