The war is not quite over.

As for all these Syrians - uh, Assad, you want to explain this or will we have to pummel an explanation out of you?

Regards, Ivan

The good news besides winning is that there are a lot less Syrians to kill in the next Regime Change.

"Most of them Syrians ... "

When the Taliban were defeated, thousands of radical Islamists were allowed to leave Afghanistan and return to their countries. It was a calculated gesture by the U.S. that was a wasted gesture. They should have been herded into POW camps, and if they refused, killed.

Let's not make the same mistake twice.

A good deal of this fighting was video taped and shown on MSNBC.

Film of this battle was shown on NBC last week, (including the guy firing while his bleeding leg was being bandaged, and the guy firing from a stretcher.)

Even the battalion chaplain, Steve Hommel, ended up shouldering an M16 rifle.

This is the second time during this war I have heard of this happening. I don't think this is acceptable. If the chaplains are going to do this it compromises their legal protection. Next I'm going to read about medics shooting people. Chaplains are legally non-combatants aren't they?

When I was at Ft. Knox, the chaplain who came to visit us at the rifle range told us he was forbidden from even touching an M16 or having ammo in his belt.

Maybe it's unavoidable under the circumstances, but even if that's the case, somebody needs to butt stroke the embedded reporters for mouthing off about it. This does not need to be reported.

Pte Chris Nauman, 20, of St Louis, Missouri, lay on a stretcher, wounded in the knee. It was either the morphine or the shock, but he couldn't stop repeating his story. "We took some incoming. I pushed my buddy down so I took something in the leg myself. My buddy, he's still fighting. They're all fighting.

"I dropped my M16 but there was no way I was letting go of my 12-gauge shotgun. I was pulling security all the way back on that stretcher. Just as well. This guy pops up four feet away. I just leaned over on the stretcher and I was, like, 'boom!' - I got him."

MSNBC has the video of this scene as it played out.....the kid pooped the bad guy from a stretcher..

"Next I'm going to read about medics shooting people."

Medics are classified as non combatants as are a number of
other billets. Combat arms include infantry, armour, artillery, reconnaissance and engineer. They are 'teeth'. The service elements, transport, supply, medical, maintenance and training are the tail. There are no billets in the ARMED services that are forbidden to shoot bad guys. All the medics I met from 68 through 70 were armed. They shot bad guys AFTER they took care of the wounded. Your statement confuses me in that it implies that medics should not shoot bad guys.

best regards

Is there anyone who believes we shouldn't kill as many of these Syrian fighters as we can?

What's better, kill them on the battlefield or try and catch them after they bomb citizens. I opt for the battlefield. Much more effecient.

These sucide attackers are nuts. I bet the virgin supply is exauhsted.
