I take it all back, well not all, but maybe we should give Putin another chance -- but very cautiously, after teaching him a lesson.

Remember that para. discussing Russia's inexcusable actions, which was upset me the most:

"Moscow also provided Saddam with lists of assassins available for "hits" in the West and details of arms deals to neighbouring countries. The two countries also signed agreements to share intelligence, help each other to "obtain" visas for agents to go to other countries and to exchange information on the activities of Osama bin Laden, the al-Qa'eda leader."

Well, further down they talk about the specific documents, from where they got that information, and I don't know how, but the date didn't click, until now., it was Nov. 27, 2000!!!! BEFORE the "new era of cooperation" between Putin and Bush.

Now of course there were a lot of other things, like those Russia's opposition to the UN resolution, that suspicious Russian convoy, the Russian advisors, night-goggles and so on, so I am not giving Puting a clean bill of health by a long shot, but at least what I considered the worst part, occurred prior to Bush and Putin meetings.

But Russia's intent to take over/control the Middle East oil supplies via Iraq's puppet government is probably true, so I guess Putin is still not to be trusted. But I wanted to set the record straight.

"The list of assassins is referred to in a paper dated November 27, 2000. In it, an agent signing himself "SAB" says that the Russians have passed him a detailed list of killers. The letter does not describe any assignments that the assassins might be given but it indicates just how much Moscow was prepared to share with Baghdad. "

It also shows that Russia KNOWS that Saddam had nukes:

"Another document, dated March 12, 2002, appears to confirm that Saddam had developed, or was developing nuclear weapons. The Russians warned Baghdad that if it refused to comply with the United Nations then that would give the United States "a cause to destroy any nuclear weapons".

Good point. November 2000, Bush was just elected. Slick Willie Clinton had recently conducted war on Serbia, a long time Russian ally. Putin may have felt he needed to hedge his bets. Somehow I trust Putin more than Chirac, Schroeder, or the Chinese. But as you say, they are all on probation and we will see who is who in the years to come. I cannot see a France/Germany alliance lasting long at all.

"If America will not touch Russia's interests then America will nothing to worry about Russia."

I'm not wanting to engage in total conclusion jumping about this article, but if any part of it holds up over the next few weeks, It would then certainly appear that mutha Russia sure has been futzing with America's interests, lives, good faith and has been engaging in some of the worst forms of treachery.

That, my good man, is indefensable!!!

By the way... You probably are a good person, but your arguments so far, are not holding up well in your dialog with Dog Gone.

We can stop here if you wish to stay ignorant and in denial. Its fine by me.+++

Sir I understood your thoughts. But I remember there was special discussion in press during time of preparation of that constitution. Just about rights.

In russian version there was stated that rights are not provided or granted by anyone but simply belong to individual.
State just support them.
In english translation I don't see the word "provided" or "granted" too.
"... Article 17....
The basic rights and liberties of the human being shall be inalienable and shall belong to everyone from birth. ..."

"I thought that with progress of civilization the rule of might(barbaric) was changed on rule of law."

NO might=NO law

As a most recent example, see the looting in Iraqi cities.
Might is only barbaric if used against law abiding citizens--see Saddam, Hitler, Lenin, Stalin, Pol Pot, etc.
Might is necessary AGAINST barbarism--see Saddam, Hitler, Lenin, Stalin, Pol Pot, etc.

You must still be very young to understand so little.

Agreed. Human rights come from God in my opinion. Let us all agree to end the reign of Saddam Husseins everywhere. Let's hope Russia routs the terrorists in Checyna.

The Islamic Fascists would laugh at all of us arguing (France, United States, United Kingdom, Russia, Germany, China). That is their goal. Divide and conquer. They would love to destroy all of these countries and would really like to sit back and watch us do it to each other.

That's the problem, you see. Russia considers the whole world HER interest.

Maybe it is because you all think only about american interests but I want the equality for everyone.
If US can violate UN then it is allowed for Russia too.
If US violate Russia's interests then US compensate Russia for that. Or don't wonder if Russia do something which US don't like.

If you keep telling Russia is irrelevant then Russia seeek for someone who don't tell that to her.

You think you happy Russia by allow her to go in your wake? You wrong it is not enough for Russia.
She never went at none wake all her history. I don't think she will do that just now.

--

Well, maybe Putin knows.

There was some news that some Russian missiles were found in Iraq, with Russian writing on them and they are missiles, which could carry chemical munitions.

RusIvan, you said you want to learn. Then don't just read the U.S. Constitution and Bill Of Rights but study how they came about. Read about the first and second Constitutional Conventions. You said you want to learn but all you are doing is defending anything Russian government bureacrats do.

Our Constitution came from the grassroots up. I suspect the present Russian constitution came from the bureacrats down, deciding in offices, in a social vacuum, what they ought to say and then presented it to the people as a fait accompli. Did you have a referendum among the people themselves on the present Russian Constitution?

Go back and look at the Declaration of Independence and note the language. Remember that shortly before that Declaration, the little-known Mecklenburg (North Carolina) Declaration of Independence preceeded it. Remember that the people who wrote these documents had a long tradition of belief in 'the rights of freeborn Englishmen'. Remember that it was important that people keep the right to keep and bear arms, which is in itself a statement that human beings, properly raised, are able to act sensibly in their own self-interest and the self-interest of their communities, and that these rights are inherently God-given to every human being, and that then communities of human beings get together and decide among themselves, without the intercession of bureacrats, how best to live a civilized life and under what rules. Go and read histories of how our founding documents came about. What was happening in Russia in 1780's? If you really came here to learn. We have a deep belief that individuals are sensible and good, although sometimes in the present days....

This news finally made to FoxNews. They are just talking about it now.

Mark Leventhal says they found a lot of documents in an underground bunker at the Ministry of Intelligence, which they tried to burn, but the fire went out.

Russian, French, Yemeni missiles seen.

There was Constituton commision too formed from elected members of Parlament and other prominent people like so called "right defendors".
It wasn't just piece of beurocracy.

I'm learning mostly just how to conduct particular kind of business which wasn't in Russia long time. But those things like constitution came to my attention too.
