It's interesting to note that the one flag we are seeing in Baghdad was flown upside down as a signal of distress.
A quadra-sided flat 'object' may be positioned in one of four ways with one side parallel and closest to the ground; bottom, sides or top -
- the flag at that particular time was positioned with one of the sides down ...
At no time was it flown "upside down".
