Then Shepard Smith said "we'll check with the Pentagon to see if this information could be true" with a straight face.

I can see him saying it now, in a low, serious tone and all.
*grin*

The good news is that Bob lives! He hit up the reporters at the Palestine for the "rent" of the roof for their satellite set-ups. Took off possibly to Tikrit Tuesday night with 200 grand.

I really, truly hope we take him alive. The fun to be had at his war crimes trial.

I hear that Baghdad Bob may team up with Michael Moore to coproduce a "factual" documentary called Bowling for Baghdad.

On WJR (Detroit) a few days ago, they were discussing what Baghdad Bob should do next. The best suggestion was to move to Detroit and be a PR spokesperson for Kmart.

From that link:

"I'm sure the poor guy has to do this because someone's going to shoot him if he doesn't. At least I never had that problem." Mike McCurry Bill Clinton's press secretary

I wouldn't be so sure about that, Mike. Reference Vince Foster and Ron Brown.

I told you yesterday that the shock has backfired on them. Indeed, they are shocked because of what they have seen. No one received them with roses. They were received with bombs, shoes and bullets. Now, the game has been exposed. Awe will backfire on them. This is the boa snake. We will extend it further and cut it in the appropriate way.

The fact is that as soon as they reach Baghdad gates, we will besiege them and slaughter them. Until now they have refused to do battle with us. They are just going places. One can describe them as a boa: when it feels threatened, it runs to somewhere else.

Apparently, Boa's possess a repertoire of moves that baffled the Iraqi's. My personal favorite was the "Inverse Sun Tsu quagmire opening" move, also known as "When the Boa gets the media to talk about a 5 day hold, stretched supply lines, and soldiers running out of food so you send your assets into the open" move.

I suspect a paperback will be out soon with "The Collected Sayings Of Baghdad Bob."

I understand the Philadelphia Inquirer is considering Baghdad Bob to be the editor of its Sunday Magazine.

Ooops! This just in. Baghdad Bob has just been pushed out of contention. The Philadelphia Inquirer Magazine has just hired a Frenchman to hoist the white flag. It has surrendered.
