CNN declined to have its newscasts included. "As an independent, global news organization, we did not think it was appropriate to participate in a U.S. government transmission," spokeswoman Christa Robinson said.

Christa Robinson is lying. CNN has no trouble with its shows being on Armed Forces Radio and TV. CNN simply has a problem with being associated with George W. Bush.

Eason Jordan is saddened, very saddened.

Having CNN throw a snitfit is the best possible outcome. Iraq will be far better off without that despicable network.

So true. In China, there is "CNN Pacific" which had me howling with laughter when I was there. The leftist spew and disinformation on there was almost as hilarious as Baghdad Bob's daily reports were. (I miss Baghdad Bob!)

This is a savvy move, considering all the other murderous thugs who must now be wondering whether CNN will honor its commitments to their regimes.
