Ex-President Bill Clinton blamed Republicans for the boos he got Wednesday night at a birthday concert for country singer Willie Nelson at New York's Beacon Theater.
"The place went wild when [Clinton] was announced," reports Friday's New York Post Page Six. "There was loud booing and yelling."
Several callers to WABC Radio's Steve Malzberg Show who attended the event described the scene afterward. One quoted the ex-prez as complaining, "I see the Republicans are here tonight."
Another saw a fellow concertgoer who stood up, booed and gave Clinton the finger - prompting security to escort him out of the hall.
The Post confirmed Clinton's Republican comment, adding that he "seemed angered" at his reception.
The remark riled the crowd so much, said the paper, that when Nelson returned to the stage, he asked if everyone was all right.
The concert was taped for a Memorial Day airing on the USA network. "No way will they include the Clinton booing in the broadcast," predicted Malzberg.
Listen to Steve Malzberg in his new time slot on WABC, 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. ET weeknights, 9 a.m. to 12 noon on Sundays.

The Dims are saying that it is because of the "Klintoon military" that we won the war so easily ....

Booing only shows how little self-control the booer has - not to mention low self-esteem.Oh Please!!! Most of us here have probably never booed anyone in their lives (except referees and umpires--LOL).
And yet, I wouldn't hesitate to set aside my usual public good manners in "honor" of Bill Clinton. I'm sure I would feel great catharsis/release from loudly booing the most disgraceful human being who ever held the title of POTUS.

Bet Hillary was pissed about that union-led, first responder 9/11 parade yesterday in New York. MK, I missed this somehow. Can you provide details or a link?

"No way will they include the Clinton booing in the broadcast," predicted Malzberg. Alas, just like Hillary's booing at the 9-11 tribute...VH1 edited that out and installed fake cheers into the soundtrack. What a joke!

Yep, someone has an agenda here.
That someone is a very new poster here too. New as of March 25th. Could be that the war in Iraq attracted some new posters for good reasons but also could be for ill.

Perhaps THIS sort of thing is what triggered the crowd reaction to president spooge?
Clintoon's book will be published by Alfred Knopf Publishing.
Knopf is 13th Century German for incredibly stupid buyer of other peoples garbage. Knopf is a very old publishing house best known for such early classics as

I'd love to know who the hell invited him and why. Bet ya x42 invited himself.

He NEVER had a majority of the vote - you may want to be more cautious with that line of reasoning. WJC got more votes (popular) than his opponents, something W can't say.
They were both elected - let it go.

Exactly. I think he should come out with the great unwashed masses more often; perhaps he could get a taste of what real people think of them.
Of course, he's just say something like he said at this thing. He even lies to himself.

I agree with you, but I sure hope he continues to screw up like this, and more media reports it! lol lol
Looks like my prediction that Clinton would be the most hated president in history five years after he left the office is a wee bit ahead of schedule...
Gosh, what a shame that is!
To: Howlin
I was so surprised by that claim that I bookmarked them! You just know that on Wednesday while we rejoiced, clinton was seething. Especially because, even though the Bush Administration had NOT predicted a speedy battle, by anyone's measure this was such a triumph on so many levels.
I'll be he was livid. And his "wife", too.

"Civility is dead and I mourn its passing."
Ok, but also send that message to James Carville, Paul Begala, Hillary Clinton, Sidney Blumenthal, the NAACP, Jesse Jackson, The Dixie Chicks, Jane Fonda, Tom Daschle, Molly Ivins, Paul Krugman, and a few others.

Sooner or later they always reveal themselves. I wonder how long this one can go on before he makes a blunder. HA!
