Has anyone else heard or read that the flag that soldier put on the statue was flying over the Pentagon on 9/11?

The wife says she heard that but couldn't confirm it.

Yes, the marine on the tank carring the waving flag was in the Pentagon on 9/11 and that flag was at the Pentagon too. He handed the flag off to Corporal Chin from Bensonhurst, NY who took it to the top of the statue and showed it for all the world to see! Made me soo proud.
