I have sporadically read a few things about an Iraqi connection to Oklahoma City. But one thing said in this article doesnt make sense, or at least is confusing why it was said.

He even sported a tattoo on his left arm that Davis said indicated he likely served in Saddam Hussein's Republican Guard (this was before the rest of us ever heard of the Republican Guard).

Oklahoma City was in 1995, 4 years after Desert Storm when the Republican Guard was a household phrase. Small detail, but seemed out of place.

Just how did all these Iraqi's end up in Oklahoma City? One thing I read was that many of the Iraqi POW's from Desert Storm were brought here to live, for what purpose, I dont know. I think it was David Schippers (impeachment fame) who was doing a investigation into the Iraqi connection.

Yes, and it doesn't answer your question but both during and after Desert Storm Saddam Hussein was very vocal (I had an entire video tape full of his threats) saying that he was going to unleash his "agents" to attack America and American interests.

I remember that very clearly. It seems those threats never happened as far as the media and others are concerned.

Same as the backwash of many wars and refugee flows: enemy agents are infiltrated to target countries. In this case Iraqi POWs and others claimed refugee status under fear of persecution at home in order to infiltrate the USA. Cuba has done this, as well as many other commie regimes, it's standard stuff.

Resettling Iraqi POWs in U.S. Criticized; Lawmakers Urge Clinton to End 'Potentially Dangerous'

Washington Post 08/25/93: William Claiborne

More than 80 members of Congress have asked President Clinton to end what they called the "potentially dangerous and unfair policy" of resettling captured Iraqi soldiers in the United States along with deserving civilian Iraqi refugees.

Nearly 1,000 Iraqi soldiers captured by U.S. forces during the 1991 Persian Gulf War have been resettled at public expense in cities across the United States. They are among nearly 3,000 Iraqi refugees -- the majority of them civilians -- who have been resettled in the United States from internment camps in Saudi Arabia.

Another 3,000 Iraqi former POWs and their families are scheduled to be moved here on humanitarian grounds, the complaining House members said. According to the State Department, the former prisoners were conscripted into the Iraqi Army against their will and have now been classified by international agencies as refugees who face persecution by Iraqi President Saddam Hussein's regime if they return home. Many of the former POWs provided valuable services to U.S. forces in the aftermath of the war, administration officials said.

Yes it was and I got my hopes up that he would score a touchdown for the truth. However, that effort seemed to die a strange and untimely death.

Then the "Scottish Law" Congressional idiot whose name mercifully excapes me at the moment gave Jayna Davis some lip service, then promptly let it all drop.

There is some twisted concerted effort to keep shoving this back under the rug to somehow protect the office of the Presidency from another flagrant, hideous crushing blow (pun definetely intended) by the 42nd occupant of the White House!!!
